POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Ngl I was a little nervous when my gfs invited me to their EDM yoga. I was thinking I use to be a rave girl but I’ve since grown out of that scene 👵 But let me tell you, they made it fun and challenging. I love a good challenge, this breath work is exactly that. I got a tingly sensation in my nose, mouth and head. I let my inner child come out and play. 🫧 They have another class planned Jan 3, will you join @desi_barton @thefeistyfityogi us? #breathwork #healing #innerchildhealing #edmyoga

Your inner child called… and she wants to come PLAY! 😂💖

Somewhere along the way, we forgot how to just have FUN. To be silly, move freely, laugh loudly, and enjoy the moment without overthinking everything.

That's exactly the energy we're bringing to our upcoming EDM Yoga + Breathwork experience! 🧘‍♀️🎶✨

A little self-love, a little inner child magic, and a whole lot of movement, music, breathwork, and connection.

🥹💖 Imagine having a conversation with the younger version of yourself… 😭🙏

The little you who had so many dreams, so many questions & no idea what life had in store. 💓

If your inner child could see the person you’ve become today, what would they think? 🦋✨

Here are some journal prompts to reconnect with your inner child:

🎀 What did little me dream my life would look like?

🦋 What parts of my childhood self are still alive within me today?

💖 What did I need to hear growing up that I can finally tell myself now?

🌈 What would my younger self be most proud of me for?

🧚‍♀️ What did I love doing before I started worrying about what other people thought?

🌸 What parts of myself did I learn to hide in order to feel loved, accepted or safe?

🪄 How can I give my inner child more opportunities to play, explore & experience joy?

💫 If I could sit beside my younger self today, what would I want them to know?

& our favorite question…

🥹 If your younger self asked, “Did we become everything you hoped we’d be?” What would you say?

Remember, healing your inner child isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about reconnecting with the parts of you that have been there all along. 👯‍♀️

Your inner child isn’t just someone you used to be. They’re a part of who you are right now. 💞

Save this for your next journaling session & give little you some LOVE. 🥹💖✨

I used to think I just struggled with female friendships.

And for a long time, I could tell you all the reasons why.

The friendships that hurt me.
The relationships that made me guarded.
The experiences that made it easier to keep people at a distance.

And some of those things were very real.

But eventually I had to ask myself a much harder question:

What was MY part in the patterns I kept experiencing?

Because at some point, I realized I couldn't keep asking for deeper relationships without becoming a woman capable of creating them too.

So I started doing the work on me.

I went to therapy.

I hired a life coach and started looking at patterns in myself I couldn't see on my own.

I got deeper into yoga and breathwork and learned how to actually sit with myself instead of constantly avoiding what felt uncomfortable.

I spent time alone—even when being alone was freaking uncomfortable.

I learned boundaries.

I stopped people-pleasing just to feel accepted.

And I found my way back to church and started rebuilding my relationship with God.

Slowly, I became more secure in who I was.

I stopped needing everyone to choose me.

I became more comfortable being vulnerable.

I learned that another woman's beauty, success, confidence or light didn't take anything away from mine.

And as I changed, something really beautiful happened.

My relationships started changing too.

This yoga retreat was one of those moments where I looked around and realized just how much healing had happened.

Women laughing until we cried.

Moving together.

Having the deep conversations.

Celebrating each other.

Making memories.

Being completely ourselves.

Women who are doing their own work and genuinely want to see the women around them win.

And I realized…

I didn't just need better friends.

I needed to become a better friend too.

I needed to become the kind of woman who could recognize, receive AND give the kind of friendship I had always wanted.

And I'm really freaking grateful I did. 🤍

Sometimes changing your circle starts with having the courage to look at yourself first.
