Who's heading to ORGATEC next week? 🙋‍♀️I'll be there Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with my Design Insider hat on, and I'd love to catch up!

Fancy a coffee? Have a new product you want to show me? Got thoughts and opinions about where workplace design is heading? I'd love to hear them all!

I'll be exploring the show, discovering new launches, chatting with designers and manufacturers, and gathering plenty of ideas and insights for our Event Report.

My diary is filling up, but there's always room for a good conversation (especially if there's coffee involved!).

Drop me a message if you'd like to meet up, or come and say hello if you spot me at the event!

I'm delighted that our Design Insider coverage of ORGATEC is sponsored by Humanscale, who share our enthusiasm for thoughtful design and healthier, more sustainable workplaces.

It’s always rewarding to see a project explored in detail, so thank you to Design Insider for this lovely feature on MOR at Carbis Bay.

Working with Tom Sellers and his team, we wanted to create a restaurant that felt completely connected to its extraordinary Cornish setting, while bringing together Japanese restraint, British craftsmanship and a real sense of place.

From the warm ombré tones inspired by sand, sunlight and the changing Cornish skies, to the darker, more intimate bar and the sweeping fabric ceiling, every element was designed to give MOR its own distinct identity and to allow the space to evolve from day into night.

It was also incredibly important to us that the project celebrated craft, working with some brilliant makers and artists to create bespoke pieces throughout.

Thank you Design Insider for taking such a thoughtful look at the project – and to everyone who helped bring MOR to life.

I’m delighted to share my interview with Design Insider, where I talk in depth about the thinking and ideas behind my personal project, the Sacred Space Healing Retreat Centre.

The project brings together my two disciplines as an architect and energy healer to explore how architecture can create spaces that support people and all living systems.

In the interview, I share more about the ideas, research and design thinking behind Sacred Space, and how architecture, healing, nature and wellbeing come together in the project.

Thank you to Design Insider for giving me the opportunity to share my project and explore these ideas in more depth.

We recently shared our views with @designinsiderlive on why we don't use AI here at Design@studio17.

We cover what AI will never be able to achieve in design through to the impact on other creatives, humanity and the planet.

Grab a brew. And let us know what you think.

We’re delighted to have the words of one of our founders, Sarah Dodsworth, featured in Design Insider’s Joyful Spaces series.

Sharing one of the hospitality projects that continues to inspire her ‘It’s been my personal haven ever since I discovered it’.

Hotel V Fizeaustraat in Amsterdam is a wonderful example of how thoughtful design can create spaces
that feel both characterful and welcoming. From its honest material palette and retro influences to its warm, inviting atmosphere, it’s a reminder that the best interiors don’t just look beautiful-they make people feel something.

At Ekho Studio, we’re always inspired by spaces that balance personality, comfort and timeless design, and this hotel captures that beautifully.

Thank you to @designinsiderlive for
the feature. #interiordesign #hospitalitydesign #commercialinteriors

A big thank you to @designinsiderlive for featuring one of our new collections, Oruga, on its website. A textured chenille that combines a sumptuous, velvet-like texture, Orgua is extraordinarily soft, yet has all the ability of the world’s best technical fabrics. We didn’t forget room 7 - here’s its little highlight ! You’ve seen our “classic country” premium rooms but we wanted to show off our “camp country” design too. Three rooms specially designed by @larissagreatrexdesign and using pieces from @whitehartdot already and up cycling them to fit the new pattern drenched fantasy. It was the same brief that we worked on throughout the hotel though amazing to see it through Larissa’s lens. Moreover, this is an exciting example of small independent businesses supporting other small independent businesses. And seeing as it’s #pridemonth we might as well shout about the fact that both are queer owned and operated. With all the premium rooms now completed, we’re already looking ahead to the next phase of refurbishment works in our classic rooms from September… exciting times ahead 🤍 📸 @jonathanbondphotography

Come and experience the new White Hart for yourself.#SupportSmallBusiness #IndependentHotel #CountryPubWithRooms BoutiqueHotelUK
