✨ Flourless (Flan-cake) Fri-yay ✨

In a quick bid to clean out my fridge and pantry, this is what I put together: a flourless (and thus gluten-free) custard cake composed entirely out of mashed bananas, apples (yes, actually), mixed nut flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, sea salt and egg yolks - and though even I was sceptical at first, the form and texture turned out to be extremely delightful - light as a soufflé almost, but with a porous cakey/custardy matrix, and somehow still stable despite being super moist.

This "cake", while being baked, was topped with roasted pistachios, pickled craisins and chunks of 67% dark chocolate, all of which worked tremendously well together.

And since that wasn't enough, each gigantic morsel was chased with a shooter that was 3:1 Frangelico (hazelnut liqueur) : Amaretto (almond/apricot liqueur), with just a light spritz of fresh lime within.

zOmG, I should clean my fridge and pantry out more often to come up with such super indulgent concoctions 🤤✨🤟🏻

A dessert that looks as heavenly as it tastes. ✨ Rich, creamy, and topped with the perfect blend of saffron, almonds, and a scoop of indulgence—every bite is a celebration of flavor. Capturing the art of food, one frame at a time. 🍨📸
