Can y’all help me get to 1,000 YouTube subscribers before 2027?! 🥹😂

Not 100K. Not 10K. Just my first 1K!

🎥 Find me on YouTube: **Jateya Jones (@jateyajones)**

**Click the link in my bio and hit SUBSCRIBE!**

Already subscribed? Send TWO people my way! ❤️

This is part of my 90-Day Do-Lo-Lo Sprint, where I’m getting back to the whimsical AND obedient version of me.

Because somewhere along the way, I let fear and overthinking keep me on a merry-go-round when I could’ve been on the escalator. Same motion. Different progress. 😩

And here’s the thing: I have RECEIPTS that following God’s lead, even when it makes absolutely NO sense, produces outcomes I couldn’t have imagined if I tried!

So I’m practicing and today, that means asking for your help instead of trying to do it all myself!

I don’t have a husband funding my shenanigans like these ladies. It’s just me, Jesus, and prayerfully YOU! 🤣

Closed mouths don’t get fed, and apparently, we’re saying what we want OUT LOUD these days!

P.S. Once you’ve subscribed, come back and drop a 🙋🏽‍♀️ so I can thank you!

I despise the term “photo dump,” but here we are. Photos with friends—long term (not using old) and new! Also included me ranting in a documentary about models and the final pic is something I believe more and more each day.

In this photo I’m in Chicago with sisters Angie and Dawn. We been friends since high school. The love is deep. 🤎

And that @gallerydepartment hat was expensive! 😂😩🧢

My LOVES Trish and Caryn! This is my Chicago and they are family. These women loved me when I was young, cute, and difficult. The stories they have! 😂🤣

Location: Los Angeles
Scene: @philipmartingallery a new Kwame Brathwaite exhibition

Black beauty and excellence on the walls and in the room. @tamarawhatley, on the left is a sweetheart, @dethra_giles, to my immediate right is a new friend and a love, and @loisnsamuels, on the far right, is an angel who appears in both Supreme Models—the book and documentary.

My outfit is @rohe_frames. It was too hot in LA for it, but I couldn’t resist! I got it on sale at @ssense! The shoes are @johnvarvatos. I clearly thought I looked cute. 🥰 😂

A never before seen @kwamebphoto on display at @philipmartingallery. Please go see “You and I” co-curated by my book brother Kwame Jr. and Jesse Williams. It’s a trek to Glassell Park, but it’s worth it!

Bonus points if you know who the two men on the far left are. 😂🗯️

Years before I created Supreme Models, I appeared in @mariepandersonofficial’s model documentary.

True story—Marie & Mary Boncher found me working as a waitress in a cocktail bar and made me a model. 😂

Actually, I was waiter at Marché in Chicago, but any excuse to quote a lyric from an 80s bop… 🤷🏾‍♂️

I recently broke up with someone. What I learned during that brief, intense romance was I love myself more than I can ever love anyone else. So when it ended, I walked away like, “I’m good.” And didn’t look back.

I said to myself, in the words of the great Meredith Grey, “Pick me. Choose me. Love me.” And I bought myself a new pair of shoes. 👟🤎🙏🏾

What a morning!✨

Last Thursday, The Society of Professional Women welcomed 150+ attendees to The Inn at Villanova for “The Audacity Advantage: How Bold Leaders Own the Room and Lead the Conversation” with the amazing Dethra Giles.

Dethra brought so much energy, insight, and wisdom to the SPW stage. Her message reminded us that audacity isn’t just about taking risks. It’s about having the conversations leadership requires. Through her DARE™ model, she challenged us to describe, acknowledge, review, and engage with clarity and intention.🎤

💡One takeaway that will stick with us: “Your voice tells the room how to treat you.” Dethra reminded us that leadership is not just a title, it’s how we show up, communicate, and make our presence known.

We were proud to recognize the Women’s Resource Center as our featured nonprofit. Thank you to Comcast Business for the $1,000 grant, and to Jody Hagemann and Elizabeth Monroe for celebrating this partnership. 💜

A special thank you to our Champion Sponsor, Firstrust Bank, and Tania Sherrill for sharing a few words, and to Charles Waterman of Gold Sponsor Closets by Design for introducing Dethra and supporting SPW and the Chamber.

We also had a few exciting moments to celebrate! We officially unveiled our new SPW website, built around the message “You Belong Here.” A huge thank you to SPW Gold Sponsor @pinebranding_ for their incredible partnership and work helping bring the next chapter of SPW to life.

💻 Visit our website at SPWMainLine.com!

And a special shoutout to the team at Pictures By Todd for capturing the morning and introducing a new way for attendees to receive their event photos through a QR code. We’re excited to offer this at select SPW events! 📸

🎟️ Looking ahead, we’re excited to welcome Tracy Davidson to the SPW stage on October 22 for an inspiring conversation on confidence, courage and clarity. Use code SPWFALL10 for 10% off registration through the end of September!

Thank you to all of our sponsors, featured in our collage, for making experiences like this possible. And thank you to everyone who joined us. You Belong Here.💜

A couple of days. A whole lot of content. And one very full camera roll. 😂🎥

We had the opportunity to handle social media coverage for the largest women’s leadership conference in Las Vegas, capturing the speakers, the conversations, the MGM’s Secret Mansion 😉, and all the moments happening in between.

I really do be outside sometimes. 💜

I really do be outside sometimes. 😂

Shoutout to Dethra, The Experience Concierge, for being a one-shot shorty at like 7 AM. 🎥😂 A true professional.

Because looking this fly AND giving me a clean take at 7 AM deserves some applause. 😂👏🏾
