Meet @deuxemmes, the artist behind this stunner. 🤍

She fell in love with a still life and let the dark days before the holidays set the mood. A layer of Saltwash created the weathered base, then a deep wash gave the chest the sober, old world look she had pictured from the start. Oranges and blue and white porcelain glow against all that shadow, as if they were painted straight onto the drawers.

That vision, and the skill to bring it to life, is all @deuxemmes. Go show her some love.

This sweet little side table almost went back to the thrift store. Instead, it got new life in soft layered grey tones finished with Saltwash texture. 🤍

Swipe to see the transformation up close, from those curved legs to the hand painted flower detail on the drawer front.

Credit to the talented @deuxemmes for this one. We are always in awe of what this community creates.

These little French-style nightstands from @deuxemmes are a masterclass in layering. A rough coat of Saltwash under a mix of blues and greens gives them that soft, weathered patina, like they’ve stood in a Parisian bedroom for a century. The gritty texture does all the heavy lifting here, catching the color in a way flat paint never could.

Smaller hardware and a Woodubend ornament finish the look and pull the whole piece toward that romantic, old-world feel.

@deuxemmes took this bright white console table and transformed it into a piece that looks like it belongs in a European estate, using Saltwash layered with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and gold leaf to build up that aged, gilded patina.

The texture Saltwash creates is what sells this look. It’s not just paint on top, it’s the foundation for that worn, decades-old finish that makes gold leaf actually believable instead of looking too new and shiny.

Materials used: Saltwash, Annie Sloan Chalk Paint (Graphite, Old White, Jaipur Pink, Primer Red), gold leaf, and a homemade gold wash for the final aging effect.

This chest of drawers by @deuxemmes is a masterclass in layering. She started with a mix of Saltwash and Honfleur as the base, added Scandinavian Pink, then topped it with Olive and scraped back in places to reveal the layers underneath. That soft, aged texture underneath it all? That’s Saltwash doing what it does best.

Cabriole legs, ornate ring pulls, and that deep burgundy to black fade, this vintage chest is a showstopper. 🖤 @deuxemmes used Saltwash as her base and layered Annie Sloan Burgundy and Athenian Black on top to create this incredible textured finish. The depth and dimension she achieved here is seriously impressive. Monique, you knocked it out of the park with this one!

Saltwash®, the key product to all your favorite painting projects. Here @deuxemmes took a piece of furniture that was in much disrepair and gave it a new life using Saltwash with paint. Love this close up and swipe to see the full pretty new look!

This cabinet was very high gloss and here’s the results! @deuxemmes didn’t have a plan and trusted the process. This texture created with @saltwashofficial is so incredible: old European charm🖤
