OPENING SOON: ‘Washed up’ by Devyani Sethi.

A series of ceramic vessels which conceptualise the meditative rhythms of the ocean/moana. Each vessel repeats a mark made from a movement during the making process.

Sethi aims to explore iterative sculpture not as a literal representation, but as a methodology which mimics the way forms are created by natural forces.

Gallery 1, 10 Jun - 1 Jul
Opening event: Wed 9 June, 5pm

From the recent naked Raku workshop @aucklandstudiopotters.
Such a joy when everything has gone according to plan. As shown when @meadceramics puts her pot in the water and the glaze pops right off. Thanks @dev_ceramics_ for being my media chick.
