We’re delighted to share this scene from Interview With a Hero, along with cinematographer Devamanikandan Kannaya Somu’s reflections on the creative choices behind the film’s visual language, from colour and composition to the influence of Cambodian shadow puppetry.   AFTRS graduates Devamanikandan Kannaya Somu and Jake Frazer have been named finalists in the ASC Student Heritage Awards’ Henner Hofmann International Award category - two of just six students recognised globally, their nominations placing them alongside emerging cinematographers from some of the world’s leading film schools.   Congratulations to both! We’re proud to see such recognition on international stage. @devamanikandan @jakefrazerdp

Well @stkildafilmfest is over. What a great 2 weeks it was! 2 weekend trips to Melbourne, wonderful screening & reception. And omg it could be the best sounding film festival I have been to. Fair play St Kilda, very impressed! Unfortunately @fracture_film didn’t come away with the win for Best Achievement in Post-Production Sound. But @kenny_king_music took out Best Score!! What a guy! And definitely the most deserved winner of the night if you ask me ❤️‍🩹 Next up for Fracture is @revfilmfest in Perth. 👀 I will not be there, but you can catch it in Leederville. As part of their Liminal Journeys: Short Film Showcase. On the 19th of July. xoxo
