Glutinous rice and luk paeng, a starter of yeasts, moulds, and other microorganisms, combine to create sato, the traditional Thai rice wine. The rice is steamed, cooled and mixed with the starter and water, and left to ferment. The process can take several weeks. Sato contains no more than 15% alcohol; when distilled, it becomes lao khao, a much stronger Thai rice spirit. Top Thai chefs are betting on sato becoming the next sake! #sato #thai #ricewine #asiandrinks #drinkstagram

Here’s a look back at last night as The Future List 2026 came to life at Woof Pack (@woofpackbangkok). On 16 September, we brought together this year’s Future Listers, past Future Listers and guests from Thailand’s creative, business, food and cultural communities for a night of good conversations, new faces, familiar faces, great food and plenty of drinks. The evening had a cosy, easy-going feel, with food and drinks curated by Extrovert Consulting alongside GranMonte Vineyard and Winery (@granmontewines), Greenery (@greenery_water), Group B (@groupb.beer), Devanom (@devanombrewing), La Fontana (@lafontanabkk), VIVIN (@vivincagefrocerybistro), Tapori (@taporibkk) and Pizza Massilia (@massiliabkk). This year’s Empowering All is about recognising that change doesn’t always come from the biggest names. Sometimes, it starts with one person, one idea or one community. That’s what makes this year’s list so diverse, bringing together people from different sectors, backgrounds and generations, each with their own way of creating change. And now, you can meet all 100. The Future List 100, 2026 is now live. Tap the link in @koktailmagazine’s bio, head to The Future List and select 2026 to meet the people shaping what’s next. #TheFutureList2026 #EmpoweringAll #KoktailMagazine #KoktailThailand

THAT'S A WRAP FOR THE FIRST EVER SAKERAMA Absolutely reeling back from the 🔥 of @sakerama.sg Singapore's first ever festival dedicated to craft sake, doburoku and international sakes! It's been 4 years in the making and we finally got here, beginning with @omunomu.sg back in 2022, working our lives out to get on the map, and now, representing the Craft Sake Movement as the Ambassador for Craft Sake & Doburoku in Singapore. SAKERAMA was really the next step and I'm stoked just thinking of what could come next. Humbled by the encouragement of the craft sake breweries that represented at the event, from Japan or the rest of the world. Grateful for the absolutely immense effort from the rest of the organizing team, where passion and dedication took kept us going where no amount of coffee could ever have. To the next stage of SAKERAMA, LFG bois 🌾🍶🤍
