For over 30 years, he’s worked with some of the most recognizable faces in the world, from Angelina Jolie to Claire Danes and Jessica Chastain. But his artistry is only a small part of what makes him extraordinary. A molecular biologist by training, Matin was championing "clean" and non-toxic beauty and beauty standards and the importance of healthy skin long before they became industry conversations. Raised alongside six sisters, he’s a feminist at heart. A vocal advocate for women, a champion of independent, female-founded brands, and someone who has used his influence to prop up and create opportunities for others. There’s a soulfulness to Matin. In an industry so focused on appearances, he’s always stood for something deeper. He was one of Motif’s earliest believers, and we’re incredibly proud to call him a friend. With 2o25 behind us, a year filled with too many incredible memories to post them all. Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it. The year kicked off in Paris with spending more time in NYC, followed by truly monumental trunk shows in Palm Beach and in the Hamptons. My first time curating a trunk show together with Cristina Grajales at her gallery in Tribeca, followed by an epic shooting at her upstate home, Salt Point House. And tying up the fall season over thanksgiving weekend with Aerin Southampton. I’m so thankful for the new friendships, relationships, and new clients that came into my life- and especially for my VIP clients who continue to show up and support me season after season.
