Bride Focus — Claudia. Soft structure, warm tones, and skin that speaks for itself.

Hair was a polished half up with soft movement — clean, structured, and effortless from every angle. One of our favourite styles this season.

For makeup, we went primarily Glowing Natural with a monochromatic approach — pink and peach tones layered across the cheeks and lips with a lot of glow. We microconcealed with concealer only and let Claudia’s natural skin come through. A little more emphasis on the lashes and lash line gave the eyes definition without competing with the skin.

The kind of look that lets everything real come forward.

From ceremony, reception, golden hour to dancing this day was simply amazing.
I don't like to ever say "we make your day perfect" but if I DID say that well...

Couples never think of National Gallery of Canada for smaller guest counts but let me tell you that a good floorplan can make this space work perfectly for under 100 to 250 guests.

If you are banking on an early check in, you're making a mistake because a hotel will do their best but to ensure you're able to start hair and makeup on time you should always book the room the night before!!
🤍Have a sleepover if you want
🤍Wake up in the space ready to greet the hair and makeup team for their set up.

Yes there is an expense to adding another night but trust me, after 200+ weddings as a Planner the stress this will save you is priceless.

Bonus tip: your guests should do the same, if they are banking on early check in to get ready for that 4 pm Ceremony and it doesn't work out, then they might be getting ready in a public washroom of the hotel!

Photographing musicians has inspired my entire career.

More than 20 years ago, I photographed a Not By Choice concert in my buddy’s backyard through a contest from The Edge. Not long after, I switched my major at OCAD from sculpture to photography.

This career and my time at @clocksandcolours has given me a lot, but the most valuable thing hasn’t been access or photographs. It’s been community.

Live music isn’t an easy world. Artists are expected to perform at their best even when they’re exhausted, sick or struggling. There’s constant pressure to be better, stay relevant and not compare yourself to everyone around you.

Photographers and creatives carry many of those same struggles.

Two years ago, I was in a pretty dark headspace. After finding help and working through mental-health programs, I realized I needed to rebuild a strong, positive community around myself.

So I started showing up. Photography workshops, local concerts and events. I found people who shared my passion and, often, the same struggles.

The world hasn’t become easier, but my community has become stronger. Those friendships have reminded me there can still be hope in dark moments.

That’s what made @liveloudconcert so meaningful. It wasn’t just an incredible night of Canadian music. It was a community coming together in support of mental health, addiction recovery and the @matthewperryfoundation.

I’m grateful for friends like @crownlandsmusic and all of the other amazing bands I have gotten to call friends, as well as the crews backstage @absolive_canada and @biltmoretheatre and all the artists, photographers and people behind the scenes who have welcomed me into their world.

Thank you @devicfotos for capturing these amazing images that show the feeling of community that means so much to all of us.
