What a way to open the season! 🪐🎶

Tonight was the CMU Philharmonic’s season opener, performing Holst’s The Planets! So happy to be back at CMU and making music.

Grateful for the amazing section I got to play with!

We all have our off days that include overscraping, cracks, and frustrations. Don’t let that stop you! People rarely post their failures, but without them, we wouldn’t have successes!

Our “tip” to keeping calm during any practice or reed making session: stop, breathe, and appreciate that you get to make music. #tuesdaytips #reedmakingmantras

We always get “wrapped” up in other people’s success, but their success does not mean your failure! One way we connect as not only oboists, but musicians as well is to share our knowledge and strengths to help each other grow. Let us know what your best reed making tips are and share them with others! #reeds #oboe #oboists #reedmaking #oboelife #doublereeds #music #musicians #musicianlife

What a busy first week here at @21stcentureeds ! Big thank you to everyone who has inquired about our services and checked out our FB page and Instagram! Much love. Our first blog post is up and we would love for you guys to check it out! We believe that each reed is different and IT’S OKAY to scrape each reed a little differently... for more of our thoughts on this heavily discussed topic, go to our website, 21stcentureeds.com to “REED” the entire blog 😉😄
