Delighted to see FOUR Walker Picture Books longlisted in two different categories for truly excellent @thediversebookawards - two for best picture book and two for best non-fiction picture book.

Hooray to all the bookmakers - and everyone on these lists - who have worked so hard to create books that are inclusive and meaningful and absolutely bloody gorgeous.

Don't forget to vote for your favourite book via the Readers' Choice Award.

You can vote for one book per category (HOW TO CHOOSE?!) and the books with the most votes will be announced at the awards ceremony in October.

We’re thrilled to share that KING OF NOTHING by @natelessore has been selected as the winner of the Salford Children’s Book Award 2026! 🎉📚🤩

Alongside this, we have TWO BOOKS from our authors @devyani_nk for #BringingBackKayKay and @lindsayagalvin for #TheGreatPhoenixOfLondon shortlisted for this book award! 📚 It’s brilliant to see three books from our clients featured in the #SalfordChildrensBookAward 2026.

Loved the @salfordlibraries book awards! The 7th regional award for Great Phoenix of London Thanks so much for the shortlisting and an awesome beautifully organised event with a buzzing theatre and enthused 11-14 year olds. Huge congratulations to @natelessore the very deserving winner (with added excellent Mayor joke game 😅). Really enjoyed hanging with fellow authors @alastairchisholm @devyani_nk @lawrencepatrice and superb compere comedy from @jamescampbellauthor.

And - I didn't even get stuck on the M25 on the drive home...
