Caught up with a friend I hadn’t seen in a while, and we went cafe hopping!
First stop was this cafe, where we tried their seasonal apple latte. Loved it! We also shared a squash sandwich.
Afterward, we walked around the neighborhood, and I picked up a book at a nearby bookstore.
This neighborhood is sooo cute.🥰 Definitely coming back!

Chicago places I’ve been loving/eating at lately in no particular order ❣️

☕️ @coffeelab.lakeview - their matcha is the perfect green i love so much
🍔 @smallbarlogan for some smash burgers and a bears game
🐱 @luckycat_chicago i keep coming back to this cafe - adore their matcha as well!!
🛎️ @loganinnchi is as cool as you think it is- bar and cafe! Need to go back to see it in the daytime
🥗 @antiquetaco one of the best salads in Chicago- i tell everyone about this lol
🍽️ @deweys_cafe was so cute, delish and they just added food!! Need to go try
🍣 @jomonchicago so excited to have this fresh sushi option in the neighborhood!
🐐 @littlegoatdiner haven’t eaten here since it was in Fulton but the people eating on the patio were enjoying the hell out of it- will be going for full blown bfast soon!
🦐 @avecchicago everything we had was so delicious here- the prawns, pizzas, wowww
🥐 @lobapastry i love this place holy smokes -mole croissant

Fall in Chicago means I’m officially building my comfort food list. 🍂🍝

A cozy bowl of noodles, a great date-night spot, coffee somewhere new, or a drink with friends. This is the time of year when I want to try all of it.

A few places I’ve been hearing about and adding to my list: @gingiechicago, @beatnikrestaurants, @loganinnchi, @loloylolachicago, @deweeys_cafe, @victoryandvicechicago, @gunnyspub, @noodleversechicago, @dhnoodles.chicago, @piccadillymarket_chi, and @jamxislandgrill.

And this is exactly what I love about Chicago. You can have your neighborhood favorites that you’ve been going to forever, and somehow there’s still always a new place pulling you across town.

Now I just need to decide where to start. Chicago friends, what’s actually worth the reservation? 🍸

Lunch is now on the menu at Dewey’s!

Riley grew up with sisters who have serious food allergies, so dietary needs have always been personal to him. At @deweys_cafe, that means food that feels considered and satisfying for everyone at the table.

Hannah, a certified sommelier who has spent more than a decade in Chicago’s restaurant and wine community, is building a wine list that can be just as much a reason to stay as the food.
