I present to you.. POLI CHIPS !
I know I know it's not as big as probably finding a cure to this pandemic but its up there.... Desperate times 🤷🏻‍♀️ I had alot of hummus - cause I made alot 😬
but didn't have no pita ,
Or chips ,
and and didn't feel I should eat store bought chips.
So I baked poli / chapati / roti / bhakri / paratha (whatever you call it / whatever you have ) in the oven for 5 mins at 200.
Sprinkled very little salt
And dipped away.
You can also make these in the microwave at 100 for 2 mins and then air drying for 2 mins.
Crispy goodness !
Served along with some carrots and cucumber - the last of the lot !
Oh and the hummus recipe is by @inspiredtaste
Adam and Joanne are always on point
#quarantinelife #fuckcorona
Don't say I never contributed to society.

Playing cards with the family while eating copious amounts of Chatpata Corn Chaat is the only thing we have on this windy Saturday afternoon. But we are extremely grateful for that.
As we know that while some of us are stuck at home with family and / friends some of you are stuck alone.
We thought we should let you know that its definitely a difficult time
and that it's OK to struggle.
it's OK to workout,
it's OK to not workout ,
it's OK to cook and ,
it's OK to not cook at all.
it's OK to feel anxious
it's OK to feel peaceful
it's OK to learn something and
it's OK to not learn a skill
it's OK to be lazy
it's OK to do nothing
it's OK to feel guilty
it's OK to spend the entire day scrolling through Instagram and
also OK to completely delete the app! Its ALL OK ! You Do You !
What is more important is that we survive this pandemic and fight it but what's also important is your Mental Health.
It's OK to feel whatever it is that you are feeling, your emotions are valid.
We would just like to remind you that you aren't in this alone, we are all in this together.
Feel free to reach out to us with any of your food related queries during this very difficult time ! Our team at IFN will help you out 😊

This beautiful thali is the most Maharashtrian thali I have ever seen and posted .. I am a Maharashtrian raised in a vegetarian household and this meal here represents my people the best.
Starting from the left (always)
khamang kakdi koshimbir
palakachi pattal bhaji
ambat god kadhi
gilkachi bhaji
masala tondli bhaat
tamtamit poori
sukhi batata bhaji
and ukdiche modak
Obviously none of this is made in my kitchen today.
But I literally have all the supplies to make this feast at home right now, which makes me feel like our local Indian homes and kitchens and most importantly our food culture is so versatile. Can scale up during festivals and scale down and be sustainable and frugal during a pandemic ! It also makes me marvel at how the basics of our cooking culture is what the whole world is now relying on.
So we were doing it right always !? If not anything this New Year has strengthened my belief in my own food culture and the traditional practices that come along with it.
So the moral here is stay strong and keep eating varan bhaat tup ! (dal chawal ghee)

Naveen Varshacha Hardik Shubhechha !
Nutan Varshabhinandan !
Happy gudi padva !
Happy New Year

Keeping it completely simple and basic on the #quarantine sunday and #janatacurfew day.
With this delicious yet filling meal of
Pithla Bhakri and thecha. If you are Maharashtrian then you know that this is as basic as it can get. No frills just taste and complete nutrition.
The bhakri (flatbread) is usually made with millets and grains and the pithla made using chickpea flour. Served pipping hot along with thecha loaded with garlic and onion and chilli of course.
@spicetripwithpaulami Paulami has just nailed it with this one.
Captures the essence of the state and also our current mood of wanting to go back to basics.
Sitting by the window and listening to only the wind and birds chirping outside makes use appreciate the simpler things in life and also a ride realisation of the chaos we have created.
Let's all pay tribute to the country and to this land and earth that feeds us the most amazing food by staying indoors and giving nature a break to recover from us. 😊
We are all in this together.

Since most of us are working from home in this time of social distancing and self isolation we at India Food Network thought we would share recipes of food that are both quick to make and delicious, so that you can stay healthy at home.
Calling these series of posts Quarantine Cooking as its best to eat food that you have in your pantry and to be frugal during these difficult times.
However we feel that , it shouldn't be boring to eat at home.
SO here is a recipe of kadhi chawal that we think is super delicious and ridiculously easy to prepare.
Check for the recipe on our stories.
We chose to pair our kadhi chawal with achaar ofcourse ! 😍
We encourage all you fellow food lovers to tag us in the recipes that you are posting so that we can get inspired.
