Ambassadors Report (BFW 7/22/26):
Wednesday the 22nd was a rooftop delight! 15 humans greased the skyline of Minneapolis with their playfield spirits. Conversation and a collaborative mural were definitely the roses of the evening. A preschool age Homie appearing (with parent in tow) to discover a world-building game with our tap-lights was a bud, and the only thorn of the night was that it had to end at all.
.
Our talk ranged from epic stories about life on tour, to ThF’s upcoming season of systems building and strategies for framing art as a conduit that serves essential community needs. We made each other laugh, and delighted in host @fairooznazifa ‘s invitation to create a collective art piece. We think it turned out pretty good!
.
So much did we enjoy each other‘s company, we could not bear to part. We lingered on the sidewalk after our ritual of flame was finished. The Homies witnessed a neighbor’s car be towed for repair, and cheered the efforts of the Tow-man; which he hardly appreciated. We relished the grounded joy that blooms from authentic connection and celebrated the emerging systems that Bonfire Wednesdays and ThF’s upcoming schemes necessitate. Though it is not everywhere, The Homie Front is every Anywhere.
It’s Friends there.
