THE LONGEST YARD | 24 HOUR ROW ❤️

24 hours. 1,465km. $16,000 raised. One incredible team.
The Longest Yard took on the Gotcha4Life 24 Hour Row and finished as the furthest rowing team in the entire event, covering an unbelievable 1,465km. That’s roughly the distance from Sydney to Adelaide! 🚣‍♂️🔥

But the kilometres were only part of it.
Together we raised $16,000 for Gotcha4Life, helping fund mental fitness programs that give people the tools to build stronger connections, speak up when things aren’t right and make sure nobody has to struggle alone.
Plenty of tired bodies, sore hands and very little sleep, but all for a fantastic cause.
Proud of everyone who rowed, supported, donated and got behind The Longest Yard. ❤️
1,465km. $16K raised. 24 hours.

No one worries alone.

✨Weight Loss Expectations vs Reality✨

IT’S👏🏼 NOT 👏🏼 LINEAR 👏🏼

Using scale weight as your only measure of progress can be dangerous because:

💤 sleep will impact your scale weight

🧂 sodium will impact your scale weight

💦 water intake will impact your scale weight

💃🏼 hormonal cycle will impact your scale weight

🥦 fibre will impact your scale weight

💩 digestion will impact your scale weight

🙇🏼‍♀️ stress will impact your scale weight

🏋🏼‍♀️ training will impact your scale weight

🚶🏼‍♀️ activity level will impact your scale weight

and I’m sure I’ve missed a few more!

So start using it as a secondary measure of progress and start going by:

✅ Amount or repetition of positive habits / lifestyle changes

✅ How you feel

✅ How well you are managing your time and prioritising the things that you value

The chart on the right is @dfa10940 chart from the last 12 months and as you can see he’s done an incredible job. He has had 5 maintenance periods and his cut HAS NOT BEEN HARSH. He has still been able to enjoy life including wine on the weekend with the missus, a burger or two with his son and a boys weekend away with some soul food choices. That is what life is about! Who am I (as a coach) to tell you you can’t enjoy life?!

Unless you’re body building, under the guidance of a doctor for health reasons or dropping a weight class for a sport (which even still I would question) you should be able to have some flexibility in your diet.

If you would like to get stronger, leaner and/or more confident DM me 💕✨
