A heart for philanthropy is something I feel truly blessed to have discovered and grown throughout my time in Delta Gamma. During my term as Vice President of Foundation for the Eta Lambda Chapter, I had the opportunity to plan two weeks dedicated to Doing Good alongside the women of Delta Gamma, and I am so proud of what we were able to accomplish together.

My love for Service for Sight began on the second day of recruitment in 2024. I walked into the house, watched a video about our Do Good sisterhood, and instantly fell in love with the mission. Almost two years later, I have the privilege of being part of the very Do Good sisterhood that first inspired me.

With my deep personal connection to sight preservation and the impact our philanthropy has on others, this experience has been incredibly meaningful to me. I am beyond grateful for the women of Eta Lambda for allowing me to share my passion, lead with purpose, and discover just how much my heart for philanthropy can grow. This sisterhood has given me so much more than I could have imagined, and I will forever cherish the opportunity to Do Good alongside these women. 💗

A special Do Good Week #WhyDGWednesday 🌟

"This week I’m especially grateful to be a DG and to have the opportunity to serve as director of Do Good Week! Planning this week has made me realize how much of an impact even the smallest acts of kindness can have. I’m so thankful for a chapter that shows me every day what it really means to do good. Whether it’s giving someone a compliment, lending a helping hand or simply making someone feel loved, the little things really do matter. Delta Gamma has shown me how to be a light in the darkness because you truly never know what someone is going through. I am so incredibly grateful for this sisterhood and for the trust they have given me by allowing me to organize Do Good Week!"

One of our sisters Kayla Brooke had the opportunity to attend Delta Gamma Lewis Institute in Columbus Ohio. Lewis Institute is a 5 day immersive leadership development program for Delta Gamma women to learn, grow, connect, and develop real world skills in leadership. Here is a brief overview from Kayla about her Lewis Institute experience. “When I was first offered the opportunity to attend Lewis Institute I was very hesitant; I didn’t know what to expect and had never really travelled by myself before. Once I arrived at Lewis I met my apartment roommates- who soon became some of my most cherished relationships from the trip. I grew close to women who shared similar values to myself with different backgrounds and perspectives. Being around women who truly value Delta Gamma Fraternity and its philanthropic goal along with the “Do Good” motto was one of the best experiences I have been apart of. I truly felt appreciative of the Delta Gamma fraternity and its values. I learned so many new ways to improve my chapter, campus, and community culture that I have continued to enact in my own personal experiences. I am forever indebted to the Delta Gamma Lewis Institute and Delta Gamma Foundation for making this trip possible.” #ITB #deltagamma #lewisinstitute
