Meet Dania Guido Designs, a small local business that specializes in fiber art!

Dania creates unique hand-spun yarn and meticulously prepared wool blends.

Her creations are a careful blend of natural and dyed wool, all of which are organic and colored with safe acid dyes.

All of her high-quality, ethically sourced fibers come from the US and Canada.

You can find her beautiful hand-spun yarns, as well as fiber preps in a variety of colors, like those shown in the photos! Including ready-to-spin carded batts and a variety of fibers for you to create your own unique blends.

She also offers handcrafted items, such as stitch markers, candles, and felted vessels.

Be sure to stop by her booth for a spinning demonstration on her wheel and spindles!

@argyleyarnshop is so much fun! I just love the @dellaqbags train bags, and there so-much-yarn to fill them with. House yarn @luminousbrooklyn is our fave, and they have a huge selection of @hedgehogfibres too. Cakes of @lionbrandyarn Mandala greet you at the door, and the racks are stuffed with @junipermoonfarm and @qingfibre and more @cocoknits goodies than you can imagine. if that’s not enough, grab a scrumptious cup of mulled wine and chat for a while. Had to drag myself out!

So once it stopped raining I went on the mini-crawl put on by @cleosyarnshop and our BYC Yarn Fade dyer @thewanderingflock. Well you can see how much fun! Swipe through for pix at Cleo’s, the studio and the Wandering Barman. I picked up some cutie-pie stitch markers at Cleo’s, so I got to choose a prize and won a free ticket to happy hour! I felt good about buying since 10% of the proceeds are going to help people in need. And I’ll definitely be coming by again soon :). Open all weekend so make sure you come by too!

Don’t forget to wear stuff you knitted with BYC shop yarns this weekend. You could win the entire fade set! Just take a selfie at the shop where you bought the yarn, tag the shop, the crawl and a friend who might like us, and you’ll automatically be entered to win. 🧶 Here’s why our Crafters like being at craft circles!

I’m always so excited when people make new friends at the craft circles because it’s the start of a new story, and who knows where that story will go? 😊

I remember being new to the city and meeting one of my besties @hyphygrandma at a Sweater Circle at @cleosyarnshop. That moment changed everything—I went from being lonely, wondering if I made a mistake to stay in NYC, to finding myself surrounded by a community that really understood me.

It took time and intention, of course. And it can be vulnerable showing up to an event, not knowing what to expect, and have a million “what ifs” run through your mind. As someone who struggles with social anxiety, making new friends was challenging. In the past, I let my fears keep me at home, afraid to look stupid or scared that someone would tell me I didn’t belong. Craft circles, though, have always been a safe space for me to connect with others while doing something I love.

That’s the reason I host these events—so you can find your next bestie, to vent about your bad work day, to share your passion with someone who gets it. Craft circles have been around for thousands of years, so it’s basically built-in for us to sit in a circle, chat about life, and make stuff right? 😂

I’m hosting a couple upcoming craft circles coming up in March, and I invite you to join us! 👇🏼

Wow, time has flown by! 💨 Feels like just yesterday when I asked a few of you to meet up in WSP for a casual little craft circle in the sweltering July sun. ☀️

I had no idea that so many of us were craving in-person company, especially after so much time in isolation. Now, after consistently hosting craft circles for 7 months, it’s been awesome to see all of the connections being formed. I want to thank each of you for being a part of this community, even on those nights when it’s way easier to stay in!

It feels important for us to keep showing up, to keep being in each other’s company, to fight the isolation that can be so all-consuming. I’m grateful for every single one of you, and I hope y’all will continue building this community with me! ❤️
