POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

On the 18th of October, Sam (@time.on.her.hands) of @watchconciergeservices held her inaugural Buy, Sell, Swap event in London, and what an occasion it was! Lots of interesting timepieces were on display as attendees looked to buy, sell and swap.

While there were plenty of familiar faces, there were also lots of new ones, and that's what makes this community so special.

One of the many memorable moments was the Watch Merch Raffle, with prizes generously donated by @timetideshopuk , @somlo_london and other guests. The money raised from the raffle will go to a cause close to my heart, @alzheimerssoc

Already looking forward to the next one, Sam!

Story time ❤️

Last weekend, I took my mum away for a little staycation. Over the past year, I’ve spent countless weekends either travelling or working on MINIM, and realised I hadn’t been spending nearly enough time with her. She deserved some time to unwind, and I wanted to show my appreciation for all her patience, love and unwavering support, especially throughout MINIM’s first year.

As part of our trip, I had arranged to drop off some supplies and components with the wonderful @chocolate_neal down south. To my surprise, he offered me the opportunity to assemble a watch that needed a replacement dial. I had long wanted to create something special for my mum, and what better opportunity than this?

I genuinely had the most wonderful hour putting together the very first MINIM watch assembled by yours truly. Sitting at the watchmaker’s bench, with my mum right beside me witnessing the fruits of my labour, was an incredibly humbling and heartwarming experience.

From day one, my vision for MINIM has been to create timepieces that capture emotion, passion and love. Watches that mean something beyond the sum of their components. What began as an unexpected opportunity became one of the most precious moments of my journey so far. To gift something I had assembled with my own hands to one of my greatest sources of inspiration, especially as my own birthday approaches, felt like the perfect way to commemorate MINIM’s first anniversary and give something back to the person who has given me so much.

There’s just something about watches, isn’t there? They’re more than objects that tell the time. They’re vessels for our memories, our stories and the people we hold dear. Sometimes, their greatest value lies not in the watch itself, but in the moments it carries.

I’m endlessly grateful for this opportunity and for all the people and friendships MINIM has brought into my life. Speaking of MINIM’s first anniversary, something very special is coming with @artisandhorlogerie. But for now, this one’s for you, Mum❤️. You don’t just deserve this gorgeous watch - the MN01 Amazonsite piece unique. You deserve the world.

Love,
Chloe ❤️

Antoine Tavan is a name I’d like to see more collectors talking about.

A Grand Feu enamel dial on copper, steel hands cut, shaped and polished by hand, and an ETA 2824-2 modified by the maker for a 24-hour display. The sun and moon on the hour hand guide you between the day and night scales.

I’m still learning about Roger Zarsoso’s wider watchmaking background, but this piece alone gives me plenty of reason to follow his work.

At CHF 1,300, the amount of handwork here really impressed me. A thoughtful, individual approach to watchmaking that deserves a closer look.

The latest collaboration between Christopher Ward and seconde/seconde/ proves that not every dive watch has to take itself seriously.

At first glance, the new C60 Pool Diver looks like the ultimate summer companion, but spend a few minutes with it and you’ll discover a dial packed with playful details inspired by lazy days by the water. From the tongue-in-cheek bezel markings to the martini glass date window, it’s a watch that celebrates the reality that most “dive” watches spend more time poolside than underwater.

Beneath the humour, though, sits a genuinely capable tool watch: a 41mm steel case, crisp white ceramic bezel, 200m of water resistance and the dependable Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement. On the wrist, the compact proportions and vibrant colour accents make it feel like the perfect summer release.

Love it or hate it, the C60 Pool Diver is a reminder that collecting watches should be fun.

Thank you to my man @dial_delta for allowing me to try on his amazing new piece.

🔥 Hit or miss? Let me know in the comments.

Last week I went to the first ever official @happyhorologists meetup and had such a great time. Huge shoutout to my friends @thetimekeepersguide and @getmygrailwatch for hosting, along with Sam from @thelimitededition.uk

Pictured here is the SpaceOne Table Tellurium, a desk piece inspired by the classic tellurium concept. The aventurine dial and moon phase display made it one of the highlights of the evening.

Got hands on with the Christopher Ward C60 Pool Diver for the first time. Such a fun summer watch with its playful dial and bezel. Huge congratulations to my friend @dial_delta , I hope you have an amazing summer with it. Designed in collaboration with Romaric André of @secondeseconde

The E.C. Andersson Mytilus, made even more special because this is @novicewatchcollector own piece that he designed with @secondssociety_ . Huge congratulations on the project. I’m looking forward to seeing what the team comes up with next.

Having both “second” collaboration watches in the same room, I had to get a side by side shot of the Christopher Ward and the E.C. Andersson together.

Spotted on the wrist, a Breguet Tradition Seconde Rétrograde 7097 in 18k white gold. A true piece of art on the wrist.

Congratulations to @rudi_ward on the new Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra. Wear it in good health, mate. Such a clean, understated watch that will never go out of style.

Two Omegas separated by almost a century. A 1930s Omega Dennison cushion case on the left and the modern Seamaster Aqua Terra on the right.

@wristl3r new Rolex Yacht-Master in Oystersteel and platinum, paired with an incredibly tasteful strap that suits the watch perfectly. I love the story behind how he came to own this piece. Wishing my friend many happy years with it. The strap completely transforms the watch. One of the most underrated modern Rolex references, in my opinion.

As always, @mrgarfman brought plenty of fun with the Christopher Ward × Mr Jones Watches Celestial Limited Edition. He was also double wristing it with the very first watch he bought new from a boutique 26 years ago, an Omega Speedmaster Reduced.

Hands On Horology: Part 1

Started the day at @timetideshopuk which is always a pleasure. Thanks to @gingerwatchguy for helping me get hands on with several fantastic pieces.

First up was the @norqain wild one skeleton 39 which wears absolutely beautifully. The pink colour is the stand out to me and certainly one I’d love to have in the collection in the future.

Next up was the @fearswatches Brunswick Flamingo Pink. Another watch that punches well above its weight. The colour palette and proportions are just perfect. What a watch to wear for the summer especially.

Finally was the @awake.concept Son Mài Frosted Leaf 🇬🇧 which in person is just gorgeous and really comes to life in the light. A really special piece and one a lot of people will really love.
