April, for me, has been making whimsy things for the internet. At the same time, Pursuit of Jade has taken over my life (I’m late to watching it, but I’m taking my time catching up because I don’t want it to end)

How was April for you? May May treat you even better 💗

March internet digest… uploaded!

Here’s what’s on my mind in the past month, other than spending half the month in Japan 🙂‍↕️ Something something learning to tap into the heightened joy I felt by the ocean in Japan, whenever I can and need a boost. I hope you find a similar joy in your life too.

Some snaps from the podcast we shot for @jacksondahl‘s @dialecticpod at @sequoiacapital. This episode was Andrew Reed’s first podcast appearance and it was a fascinating episode. The story behind the Robinhood investment and the culture and spirit in the investment space were my personal favorites. I’d highly recommend this episode!

Starting a monthly internet digest, covering some highlights on what I consumed on the internet in January. Reads, videos, podcasts, visuals I like.

What else should I cover in the next one?

Some shots we snagged from our second podcast filmed for Jackson Dahl’s Dialectic. Molly is a writer and investor of her own fund- Moth Fund. This “Art of Peopling” episode is a fascinating conversation giving a unique perspective on how investing can be done. Check it out wherever you listen to podcasts!

Have you noticed, everyone’s talking about taste?

We’re worried that our specialness will be automated with AI, and taste has emerged as our last defense.

I don’t disagree, though I think we’re focused too much on the end result (taste) and not enough on the process (on how one develops taste).

Taste can’t just be declared, it has to be accumulated: through exposure, curiosity, contradiction, indulgence, and time.

So this (shared) saved folder is a starting point. It’s my curated media list: Substacks, shows, publications I return to.

I think of these as signals amongst the noise. They help you question why you’re drawn to what you’re drawn to.

That’s what I’m trying to do with Second Serve. To learn more, click the link in bio.

I'm going full-time on @dialecticpod with the support of @notionhq.

Thanks for listening, watching, and reading. What a gift it is to find special people and talk to them about what makes their eyes light up.

Much more to come!

This week was @dialecticpod’s first anniversary and I wrote some reflections. I’m grateful for a lot of support and a lot of kindness and generosity from friends, guests, listeners, and wise people lending a hand. My prompt for you: what might you create?
