Hello I’ve been rolling solo for a year now! Firstly wow! I didn’t expect to be where I am today! So thank you to everyone and all your incredible support! 🙌 I’m having a great time on here rambling on about games alone and taking the occasional nice photo. I’ve made some amazing friends on here and I couldn’t be more thankful! So for something a little different and to not banging on about soloing. I asked the community what games we would play if we met up. Let’s take a look! But what started out as a place to share D&D post slowly became a photo diary of playing & discovering solo games as I ventured into this hobby more & more. I may or may not have gone a little bit extra with purchases 😅🤏 @allplayhq recently had a sale so I snapped up Twinkle Twinkle & Expansions! Formaggio may have slipped into my basket too 🧀 Then today I had an impromptu trip to @firestorm_games with my bestie, I usually don’t walk out with anything but here I am … with Knarr (and expansion) and a Hobbot Gift Bundle 🙈 oh and Lorcana boosties! I also saw they had one of the investigator packs I was missing from Arkham Horror LCG, so I snapped that up. —- What’s some recent additions to your collection? 🎉 We have hit a wonderful milestone! A whole year embedded in this awesome community … AND we’re also at 4,000 followers right before our instaversary 🎉 We asked some of our spoonies to take a snap of games they never say no to, even when low on spoons 🥄 ❓What game(s) can you never say no to? The variety of games is so great to see, and there’s some I have added to my list! For us, it’s: 👦Liam - Azul by @nextmoveofficial It was one of my first modern games with Amy, it’s so chill and nice to play in the evenings. 💁‍♀️ Amy - Rebirth by @mightyboards This game is SO GOOD, even when I’m tired I’m up for playing. Minimal brain power but all the fun 🥄 What is the spoon theory?: It’s a metaphor for managing limited daily mental energy (spoons), where executive dysfunction, sensory overload, and emotional regulation consume more “spoons” than for neurotypical individuals. It helps ADHDers visualize energy capacity, reduce guilt over fatigue, and prioritize tasks, often used to navigate burnout, chronic exhaustion, and task initiation challenges. (from ADDtitude.mag) One persons low spoon is another high soon, and that’s totally okay! Come with me on the very first Board Game and wellness retreat exclusively for women in the UK. if you're stressed, burnt out, and looking for a way to escape and switch off with other like-minded souls, then this is the retreat for you. It was held in a stunning lake district location. Absolutely any women was welcome, we had all ages and from all parts of the country, including board game newbies just interested to try it out to hardcore gamers that have been playing for years. This is proper sisterhood. Everyone was so so lovely and I already cannot wait for the next one. I haven't laughed so hard in a really long time, this was proper sister hood vibes. It was a great opportunity to learn and play new games in a non intimidating and supporting and friendly environment. What a weekend! I had such a wonderful time getting to know everyone and playing lots and lots of games 😍 I was nervous at first since I was attending alone but I needn't have worried, everyone was so lovely and welcoming 🥰 The hotel was in such a beautiful location and the room we had for gaming overlooked the water 😘👌 The goodie bags were such a lovely surprise! Huge thanks to @hachetteboardgamesuk for Hanging Gardens and Sierra @charlottetilbury & @kelseyougaming for the Charlotte Tilbury products, the Magic Cream is excellent 👌 @kelseyougaming for the amazing handmade stickers, so cute! @shropshiregamingfamily for the socks, wax melt and crystal which were chosen based on everyone's preferences & @itsyourturn.bg for the wonderful handmade coaster Before the event I grabbed a hoodie and t-shirt made by @geekhavenclothing and I'm so glad I did, they are both so comfy!! There were so many games to choose from between the fantastic selection provided by @hachetteboardgamesuk and all of the games brought by all of us attending. There were so many more I wish I had the chance to play like Mycelia, Water's Edge, Moonshine and Mozaik (+ so many others!) The time just flew by and just like that it was time to go home 😭 Special thanks of course go to @emgamescoring and @shropshiregamingfamily for organising! Had the best weekend at #mindboardandsoulretreat organised by @emgamescoring and @shropshiregamingfamily in the lake District 😍 spent time chatting and playing games with some lovely women, making new friends and lots of belly laughs. Went for walks, spent time reading and in the spa. It was a perfect escape away from reality. Thank you for arranging Em and Hannah! Already can't wait until the next one! @itsyourturn.bg made some really cool coasters for us I made fudge and biscuits as well as a dice tray @hachetteboardgamesuk were kind enough to gift us some goodies @kelseyougaming made some bookmarks and stickers as well as bagging some @charlottetilburyskincare goods! @geekhavenclothing provided the hoodies! I’ll be off to a board game & wellness retreat this weekend in a beautiful location with 27 other gals 💅 Mind 🧠 Board 🧩 & Soul 🧘‍♀️ 2026 Everyone’s excited about the spa treatments, I’m excited about the board games 🤓 Admittedly I’ve been a bit nervous about going because I’m actually socially awkward and I get overstimulated very easily. This is WAY out of my comfort zone. But as time draws in, I’m getting excited to meet the gals and eat good food, play great games and unwind. 🧘‍♀️ I was bullied by @kelseyougaming to bring Jisogi by @esper.bgs and @dice_gal to bring Eternal Decks. Tbh, it was an easy convincing, both are great games!
