My last year at CSULB, I served as editor-in-chief of DIG Magazine. It was an extremely rewarding experience and I feel so honored I had this opportunity to tell the stories of the CSULB and Long Beach communities. ✏️💗

Thank you @digcsulb for this incredible journey of learning how to run a publication!

Special thanks to Kimberly Wong, managing editor, Genevie Nguyen, art director, and Kayla Miranda, social media director, for the all the late nights and hard work it took to produce these four issues, publish content on DIG’s website daily, and connect with audiences on DIG’s social media, as well as Robin Jones, DIG’s faculty advisor, for all your guidance. And thanks to all of the DIG staff and contributors for bringing this publication to life! @kimby.jpeg @geneviepoo @k.aylamm @robinjones325

Another thanks to the incredible Gopi Vadsak @aawaari for working with me and continuing your legacy of shooting beautiful DIG covers and features photos.

The Fall, Winter and Summer covers were shot by Gopi Vadsak and Spring cover was shot by the awesome Diego Perez @egomyegooo

Here are the four print issues I produced as EIC, my articles, and some of my favorite spreads from them. 💖

Repost @digcsulb You may have noticed the untouched piece of land sitting next to the G2 parking lot or the university’s brief land acknowledgement during orientation. CSULB was built on Puvunga, the ancestral land and burial site for the Tongva and Acjachemen nations. As indigenous members continue to protect the 22 acres of land, the question remains: When Will it Really be Land Back?

To read this the evening before I graduate tomorrow morning honestly brings tears to my eyes

Wow I have no words except thank you for sharing my story

I want to give my daughter a future She is my North Star and the reason I keep going

What a challenging and beautiful two years it has been Full time work motherhood grad school content creation heartbreak healing growing learning a whole new job and somehow still showing up

Working 9–5pm and then going straight into school from 7–9:45pm twice a week was no joke There were nights I was running on fumes trying to be present at work present in class and still come home and be a mom

There were days in the beginning where I wanted to quit because I was so tired I barely had time to shower I would end class late and my family would be with Emmy supporting me tirelessly through all of it

I am so grateful for my family who supported me through every late night every class and every moment I needed help

I am so grateful for my friends who encouraged me checked in on me and reminded me I could keep going

A few books that changed my mindset during this season were Atomic Habits The 5AM Club The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck and The Let Them Theory

If there are two things I know are true it is that consistency pays off and you are capable of more than you think

I feel so equipped to keep grinding keep dreaming and keep reaching for the stars

What a journey
