PROGRESS IS A TEAM SPORT. At Wilton Park, H.E. Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani and H.E. Dr. Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad joined voices from across sport, policy and civil society around a shared ambition: turning access into lasting opportunity. Because meaningful change is never built alone. It takes stronger pathways, wider inclusion and the right people around the table to turn intention into action. Opening the door is a start. Building what lies beyond it is the legacy. Wilton Park, West Sussex.

ACCESS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING. For H.E. Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, the power of sport lies in what it makes possible beyond the field. Confidence. Mobility. Leadership. Opportunity. The ambition is not simply to bring more women and girls into sport, but to build the support and systems that allow them to stay, grow — and lead. Because getting in matters. Going further changes everything. Wilton Park, West Sussex.

THE GAME IS BIGGER THAN THE FIELD. At Wilton Park, H.E. Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani joined voices from sport, policy and civil society for a conversation that went beyond participation. Because getting women and girls into sport is only part of the equation. The bigger question is what surrounds the playing field: access, infrastructure, opportunity, leadership — and the systems that determine who gets to go further. Changing the game starts with changing what makes the game possible. Wilton Park, West Sussex.

We won long before the Azomco Women’s Basketball Team ever played its first game. That’s because the joy, excitement, and gratitude of starting something new were genuine. What began as a dream quickly became a reality. 🏀❤️ The 12 young women selected through our “It’s HER Time to Shine” tryouts were suddenly competing against established teams like APR and REG Women. We won some. We lost some. But every game was another step forward—and we put the league on notice. We weren’t just building a basketball team. We were building a movement. Azomco Women’s Basketball is the future of Rwandan women’s basketball. 🇷🇼🏀 #AzomcoBasketball #AzomcoWomen #WomensBasketball #RwandaBasketball #RwandanWomen LeadAfricanBasketballForward

Before the championships, before the global fame, before Jordan became a brand, there was a moment when basketball found a new language. Flight. The No. 23 in red. The Air Jordan 1 on his feet. And a style that would escape the court and reshape sport, sneakers and culture for generations. The records made Michael Jordan one of the greatest. Air made him an icon. ✈️

For more than five decades, one silhouette has represented the NBA. Jerry West became “The Logo” — an image forever tied to the league and its history. Now, imagine another silhouette. Michael Jordan. Six championships. No. 23. Air Jordan. A global icon whose influence went far beyond the game. There is no official change. But if the NBA ever chooses a new silhouette, there’s only one name that belongs in that conversation. It should be the GOAT. 🐐

Some legacies outlive the game. Six championships. Six Finals MVPs. Five MVPs. Ten scoring titles. But Michael Jordan’s influence was never just about numbers. He turned No. 23 into an identity. A shoe into a culture. And basketball into a global stage. Decades later, the game is still living with his influence. 23 is forever. 🐐

SHE FOUND HER VOICE. NOW SHE USES IT FOR THOSE STILL FIGHTING TO BE HEARD. Nadia survived. She played. She studied. She became. But perhaps the most powerful thing about her story is not what she achieved. It is what she chose to do with it. She remembers the girl she once was. The girl who had never seen girls play football. The girl who needed to see another girl on a field before she could imagine herself there. Because sometimes— one woman is all it takes to show a girl that another future is possible. Today, Nadia uses her voice for women and girls still fighting to be seen, heard and given the same opportunities. For the girl watching from the outside. For the girl whose talent has never been given a stage. For the girl who has been told: “This is not for you.” Nadia knows that girl. Because she was her. Today, we are proud to have Nadia Nadim as DIGIQ Ambassador for Women in Sport. Not simply because of what she survived. Not simply because of what she achieved. But because of what her story can make possible for others. Somewhere in the world, another girl is watching. She may not know yet what she can become. LET HER PLAY. LET HER DREAM. LET HER BE SEEN. THEN WATCH WHAT HAPPENS. NADIA NADIM ✖️ DIGIQ Ambassador for Women in Sport. She once needed to see one girl play to know it was possible. Now millions of girls can look at her and know the same.

THE WORLD SAW THE FOOTBALLER. IT DIDN’T SEE WHAT HAPPENED WHEN THE LIGHTS WENT OUT. The goals. The stadiums. The national team. The biggest stages. Then the final whistle blew. And Nadia’s other life began. She opened her medical books. Training. Matches. Travel. Pressure. Medicine. Repeat. While competing at the highest level of professional football, Nadia was studying to become a doctor. The child who fled Afghanistan had built not one extraordinary life— but two. Refugee. International footballer. Doctor. It sounds like someone wrote it. Nobody did. She lived it. But achievements only tell you what Nadia became. They cannot tell you what it took to become her. For that— you have to see her story. 🎬 NADIA A film by Anissa Bonnefont. @anissabonnefont See where she came from. See what she carried. See what she refused to surrender. WATCH HER STORY. How many girls are still waiting to discover what could belong to them?

SHE ESCAPED A WAR. SHE CONQUERED WORLD FOOTBALL. THEN SHE BECAME A DOCTOR. This is not fiction. This is Nadia Nadim. Her father, a general in the Afghan army, was executed by the Taliban. Her mother took Nadia and her four sisters and fled Afghanistan. They left behind their home. Their country. Everything they knew. Eventually, they reached a refugee camp in Denmark. And there, Nadia saw something that would change her life forever. A girl playing football. Nadia knew the game. But she had never seen girls play. She didn’t know football could belong to her too. Think about that. The girl who would one day play in front of thousands didn’t even know she could dream of becoming a footballer. One girl. One ball. One possibility. Nadia started playing. The refugee became a footballer. The footballer became an international. And the girl who once didn’t know girls could play… made the world watch her play. For most people, that would already be the story of a lifetime. For Nadia— it was only the beginning. Because while the world watched her under the stadium lights… she was building another life almost no one could see.
