A Legacy of Excellence. A Future of Opportunity.

Since 2005, UVSC and UVU students competing in SkillsUSA Audio-Radio Production have built one of the most successful collegiate programs in the nation.

🥇 11 National Championships
🥈 3 Silver Medals
🥉 2 Bronze Medals
🏅 16 National Appearances
🏅 16 National Medals

Every UVSC/UVU team that has reached the SkillsUSA National Championships has returned home with a medal.

This legacy spans multiple generations of students, from the first national champions in 2005 to the most recent national champions in 2026. Through creativity, technical excellence, teamwork, and determination, these students have represented Utah Valley on the national stage and set a standard few programs can match.

The next chapter is waiting to be written.

If you’re a UVU Digital Audio Production student, ask your professor how to get involved in SkillsUSA competition and discover what you’re capable of when preparation meets opportunity.

The UVU Digital Media Department is bringing home 3 out of 3 medals from the 2026 National SkillsUSA Championships in Atlanta, Georgia!

Interactive Application & Video Game Development — Bronze Medal

Our students put in the work, embraced the challenge, and represented Utah Valley University and the Digital Media Department with professionalism, pride, and excellence on the national stage.

These accomplishments are a reflection of countless hours of preparation, dedication, creativity, and teamwork. They demonstrated not only their technical skills, but also the character and determination that define what it means to be a Wolverine.

Congratulations to all of our competitors. We couldn’t be more proud of the way you represented UVU, the Digital Media Department, and yourselves.

A team of UVU students and faculty traveled to Tiwanaku, Bolivia, to preserve a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Bolivia. One professor even coaxed a few of the local tribal elders to pilot one of the drones used in the preservation project! Visit the link in our bio to learn more.
