What if one of the most powerful tools for a child’s development was already in your hands? ❤️

Play is more powerful than it looks.

In the first 1,000 days of life, every smile, every cuddle, every game of peekaboo helps shape a child’s development.

Play isn’t just about having fun. It’s how babies learn, communicate, build relationships, and feel safe in the world around them.

Whether you’re talking, singing, breastfeeding, smiling, or simply responding to your baby’s sounds, you’re helping their brain grow and supporting their emotional, social, and physical development.

Children need more than food and shelter to thrive. They need love, connection, and opportunities to play.

Because every playful moment is a chance to learn, grow, and build a healthy future.

Global health funding is shrinking.
But frontline health workers still show up every day. So will we. 💛

One film can change the outcome of a birth.
One cut in funding can change what happens next.

Across rural communities, Medical Aid Films gives health workers access to life-saving knowledge they may not get anywhere else.

But when overseas aid is cut, fewer films are made. Fewer workers are trained. Fewer mothers and babies get the care they deserve.

You may not be able to change government decisions.
But you can help us continue this work.

Even £5 a month helps bring vital health education to communities that need it most. ❤️

No access to contraception.
Unsafe abortions.
Giving birth without skilled care.

And yet… the solution already exists.

Midwives.

They can provide 90% of essential care, even in the most fragile settings —
but there simply aren’t enough of them.

1 million more midwives are needed.

This International Day of the Midwife isn’t just about appreciation —
it’s about awareness, urgency, and action.

Because behind every statistic is a woman
who deserved better care,
a safer birth,
a real choice.

Save this to stay aware. Share it to amplify the truth.

Prenatal ultrasound examination remains the gold standard for identifying Placenta Accreta Spectrum (PAS) in high-risk patients.

Essential tools include:

• Transabdominal ultrasound
• Transvaginal ultrasound
• Color Doppler imaging

Color Doppler helps identify:

🔹 Increased subplacental vascularity
🔹 Feeder vessels
🔹 Placental lacunae
🔹 Bladder and parametrial involvement

When performed by trained operators, ultrasound can detect over 95% of PAS cases.

Our latest Medical Aid Films production explores how to accurately identify these signs and differentiate true PAS from post-caesarean uterine remodeling.

I Was a Stranger is a 2024 international drama film written and directed by Brandt Andersen, adapted from his Oscar-shortlisted short film Refugee. It blends personal survival stories with broader themes about displacement and empathy in the modern world’s refugee crises.

The film follows Amira, a Syrian pediatric surgeon, and her young daughter as they flee war-torn Aleppo after their home is destroyed. Their desperate journey to safety becomes interwoven with the lives of several other strangers around the world including a smuggler, a conflicted soldier, a poet searching for home, and a Greek coast guard captain, culminating in an intense and emotional crossing of the Mediterranean Sea. The narrative shifts between past memories of conflict and present struggles for survival, emphasizing shared humanity amid chaos.
