They say when you truly give your life to Christ, the road can get lonely. I understand it now, because following Jesus isn’t just something you SAY it’s a decision you have to make EVERY SINGLE DAY. To deny yourself, pick up your cross, and follow Him even when it costs you people, places, habits, and the old version of yourself.

I’m FAR from perfect. I’ve made mistakes. I’ve had seasons where I was lost, broken, depressed, and fighting battles nobody knew about. There were days I smiled in front of everybody while I was hurting behind closed doors.

But GOD! 🙏🏽

When I was at one of the lowest points of my life, God didn’t throw me away. He reached down into my darkness and picked His son back up. He reminded me that my life still had purpose. He took the pain that was supposed to destroy me and used it to bring me closer to HIM.

Now I understand why I had to go through it. The isolation changed me. The pain changed me. The prayers changed me. GOD CHANGED ME.

So if following Christ means I have to walk alone sometimes, I’ll walk alone. If I have to lose the old me to become the man God called me to be, LET IT GO.

I know where God brought me from, and I refuse to go back.
We not ashamed to call on your holy name… JESUS🙏🏽
