About Afrika Bambaataa;

Not the one to coin the term Hip Hop to hype up the parties but the one to Officially Name the Culture is the one that actually Named It. After Africa Bambaataa Officially Named The Culture all others followed.

Naming is vital to cultural identity as it provides a connection to family history, heritage, and community, acting as a public identifier and a link to ancestral traditions. Names can also carry social power, shape perception, and reinforce a sense of belonging, with cultural naming ceremonies and traditional names underscoring their deep significance.
