Heres an image dump x recovery rant incoming Relapse is hard, but i have to remember recovery isn’t linear,, I lost around 10 lbs of the weight i gained back which has been sucky honestly. i raised the dose of my anxiety meds and im trying to move around more so im hoping that helps get me back closer to where i was. Thankfully im better than i was a year ago today , so im at least grateful for that. Though losing the weight so fast has definitely made an impact on my mental health. I know things will get better again. I just need to start taking things at my own gentle pace again, like i did before. Im so grateful to have you all in my life , knowing i have you all to come back to helps me look forward to the future

Since my mom decided to move away this summer to florida, she brought our photo albums for me to keep. Feeling a lot of different emotions going through me as i go through these pictures. I hope to have a good future and create memories as beautiful as the ones in my childhood were, and get to keep everyone around me in the process. I cant say im happy about how much its changed. I wish things went differently. I wish we could’ve all just stayed together. i know things werent meant to be that way, and turmoil between my parents wouldve made that impossible, still wish it tho❤️ Also sorry ive been inactive with texting back, I’ve relapsed with my physical health and my jaw is misaligned, so eating is twice as hard, ontop of everything else. I miss having the energy to do anything and talk to you guys. I know itll come back with time and effort i just love and miss you all.

21 today, this one! My first born! Like all the days of the past 18 months or so, today was hard because they spent it in bed, but it was speckled with beauty and messages from friends… i told them that in two months we will be in NYC and will have found out their surgery date for cervical fusion. We are getting closer and have so much hope for their healing after this surgery… ✨🩵fingers crossed and biggest wishes for a good year for Blaine! Prince Lavender here! I got my drag start in July of 2018 thanks to the encouragement of local drag queen @e.v.e.exe and also the nonprofit @marrowpdx . Marrow hosted the very first drag show that Eve and I produced together, which was an all-ages show themed after Steven Universe. I performed my first drag act at that show as nonbinary icon Stevonnie. ✨ Since that first show Marrow PDX has become a home away from home for myself and many of the youth drag performers I know. Although Covid has required Marrow to close the doors to its physical location for the time being, you can still find lots of phenomenal youth artists and activists through the Marrow Instagram account! 👑 Inspired by the talent and creativity of the youth performers in the Steven Universe show, Eve and I formed Dang Heckin Nerdy Drag, a drag collective for any youth with an interest in drag. There are many barriers which prevent youth from engaging in the drag scene, such as the lack of all ages venues, and DHND was founded in response to this community need. 👑 Covid has also changed the shape of PDX drag. This year, DHND will be hosting our third annual “Ghastly Gala” drag show online! Hey everyone! We had a really great video chat with most of the collective today! We talked about what’s been hard - like getting dressed or maintaining a sense of community, and what’s been good - like solo walks and making soup! ✨ We want to help folks feel more connected, and create some little sparks that help get you through your days, so are some things we have comin’ atcha: ✨ Daily prompts over on @marrow_teeth, which might be art prompts, outfit prompts, writing prompts - just little things to get us going each day. If you do one, we’ll share it! You can submit prompts too! ✨ Movie watching parties (we’re working to figure out the best screen-sharing system since not everyone has netflix!) But let us know if you have movie or genre requests! ✨ More livestreaming over @marrow_teeth - both casual hangs and some slightly more structured workshops (taking requests! art? stretching? DIYs?) The idea was to have a chill month, but here we are 😂. Lots of meetings/opportunities for folks to get involved in Marrow’s future and sustainability, a drag show, writing workshops, movie screenings, karaoke night, a read aloud, white and youth of color caucuses, a weaving workshop, an opportunity to meet your body where it’s at in this new year, a tarot hangout... and more!!!!! 👀 Whew. Plenty of both youth-only and all ages (adults encouraged) programming! Check out our website calendar for all the text in these graphics + more info! We’ll make individual posts about each of these things as they get closer, too!! ✨ *Copy/paste/not paying attention error: where it says “this drag show is all ages” on the white caucus post, it should say “this meeting is for youth 10-24”. On December 30th I turned 24! I saw these cuties and we accidentally coordinated our jackets. I got matching enchanted forest tattoos with @saltcircle who I am lucky to have as a friend and who is a rare, rad adult in my life!! Then I had family dinner with my loves, the @houseofratking 🐀👑 @momo.pdx made a DELICIOUS salmon, and @camilocreature made me a cake with help from baby and mötheir rat!! There aren't words for how lucky I am to call all the members of RatKing family, and seeing each of them filled me love, light, and great food for my birthday! I also drew the house as little winter gifts 🖤 (Cw for sui ideation in this next bit) The number 12/30/13 on my tattoo is the date of my eighteenth birthday. I chose this number because when I was a teenager I experienced frequent, intense suicidal ideation and I moved through the world on the assumption that I would die by suicide before I ever finished high school. Looking at the community I've found and built around me and how I spent my 24th birthday is a reminder that every year I live is a gift to myself. I never thought I would make it this far, but I have, and I'm so grateful I did, because it is beautiful to be alive and in love with my friends, family, and community. I'm proud of myself. And so grateful to all my beloveds!!! Lastly here's a pic of my tatt fresh outta the saniderm, and done by Ezra!

Here is a small sneak peek at my presentation for the Ray Warren Symposium THIS WEEK! It is hosted and organized via Lewis and Clark, but it is free and open to the public. I will be giving this presentation as part of a student panel THIS THURSDAY. I have never presented my work academically like this before, so wish me luck! I'm a bit nervous
