Size takes time. Conditioning takes consistent execution.

You can’t rush years of muscle growth and maturity into one contest prep. But you can take ownership of your preparation: your meals, training, recovery, check-ins, and the timeline you give yourself.

That work starts in the offseason.

The more consistently you practice those habits while building, the more familiar they become when prep gets demanding. That doesn’t make getting stage lean easy. It gives you a foundation to lean on when motivation drops.

Don’t waste your offseason chasing “big” by eating anything and everything. A heavier scale doesn’t automatically mean a better physique.

Be patient. Train with intent. Keep your nutrition structured. Review your progress weekly or biweekly, and adjust calories when your progress calls for it.

Through my own preps/coaching, I’ve learned to respect every phase. Each one has a purpose, and each one deserves your effort.

THE JOURNEY IS THE REWARD.

The energy on stage is only possible because of the incredible people in front of it and the amazing team working behind the scenes. 🙌🔥
To the crowd bringing the energy, the judges dedicating their time and expertise, the athletes giving it their all, and the backstage crew working tirelessly to keep everything running smoothly — THANK YOU. It takes an entire team to bring a show like this to life, and every single person plays a part in making it special.
The stage may get the spotlight, but it takes a whole community to make the magic happen!

Haven’t posted an actual leg day so here’s a leg day lol

Vids are in order. Not shown: adductors + abductors (first workout) and seated hamstrings (after first workout)

Posing towards the end was painful, that’s how you know you did leg day right.

Special s/o to @tony__duong for the recommended leg day!

Bernie in the end doing his best hallelujah praise

Many people don’t know this, but my wife and I own a food truck business! Swipe to see our business information.

I’ve been craving this island favorite throughout my show prep, and I promised myself it would be the first thing I’d make once the show was over.

If you’ve visited the islands, you may have tried it—or maybe you’ve enjoyed it at our food truck during a festival!

Well, I just made one, and I’m ready to smash it!

Just a comparison of my back when I was cutting and now that I’m on a bulk. Yes this bulk has been messing with my head every check in, seeing the scale go up because I have always been overweight. I have learned that in order to grow I have to put on weight‼️I just got to trust the process and keep on grinding results will come eventually🙏🏼💪🏼, and let me just tell you clean bulking is a lot harder than cutting weight 😮‍💨‼️

Lost in the momment making core memories these past 20 weeks of prep 📸

•

~ To my close circle of Friends and Family that supported me during these last 20 weeks:
( Those of you that know of me know that I keep to a small group of key people that I value as my family blood or not ) These past 20 weeks of prep changed me and my life, and I will forever be thankful. You guys mean the world to me and I’m so happy that I was able to truly identify my strengths and capitalize on weak areas in life to grow progress every day not only as a bodybuilder but as a Human with you and God.

(Jeremiah 51:20) “You are My war club, My weapon for battle, And with you I shatter nations, And with you I destroy kingdoms”

I feel unstoppable with you guys by my side and I am forever grateful for every single one of you 🙏🏻
