What a blessing it is to share my story on @dr.jasmineblocker platform! 🙏🏾✨

I’ve been such a fan of the work you’re doing, so it is truly an honor to be featured on your podcast, Testimony Thursdays!

Tune in as I share my journey of being dismissed from PT school TWICE… and still becoming a Doctor. 🎓

Through the trials, tribulations, doubt, and nay-sayers, God’s plan always had the final say. 🙏🏾 I’m so grateful I stayed the course, trusted the process, and didn’t give up on the dream.

If you’re going through a setback right now, I hope my story reminds you: your setback does not have to be the end of your story.

Imagine being told you’ll NEVER pass your boards… and then becoming Dr. Bria Jackson, PT, DPT. 👏🏾🎓

Sometimes the words meant to discourage you become the very motivation you need to keep going.

Dr. Bria was dismissed from PT school twice, but she refused to let someone else’s opinion determine the ending of her story.
Now? She’s a licensed physical therapist doing everything they said she wouldn’t. 🙌🏾
“Thank you for the motivation.” 🎤

If you’ve ever been dismissed, failed a class, been placed on academic probation, or had someone question whether you belong in healthcare—keep going. Your story isn’t over.

Hello everyone! 👋🏾 My name is Dr. Bria J, also known as The Dedicated PT and the host of the Dismissed to Doctor Podcast. 🩺✨

First, be sure to follow my podcast on YouTube, where I share powerful stories of dismissal, resilience, redemption, and becoming a healthcare professional against the odds. Link in bio! 🎥

And to everyone who has supported me as I’ve shared some of the lowest and most vulnerable moments of my journey—THANK YOU. ❤️ Your support has meant so much as I continue to share how I went from being dismissed to becoming a doctor.

Because I know firsthand how overwhelming it can feel to navigate dismissal, I created The Readmission Playbook: How to Successfully Appeal, Interview & Earn Your Seat Back.

📚 Inside the playbook, you’ll find:
✨ 10 step-by-step chapters
✨ Journal prompts to help you reflect and prepare
✨ An appeal letter outline
✨ Readmission interview tips
✨ A daily preparation calendar
✨ Words of affirmation to help you stay encouraged

This resource was created for the student who has been dismissed, placed on academic probation, or simply doesn’t know where to start.

Your dismissal may be a chapter in your story, but it does NOT have to be the end.

Don’t let dismissal be the end of your story. Let it be the beginning of your comeback. 🩺📖✨

🎙️ NEW EPISODE OF DISMISSED TO DOCTOR!

What happens when the path you planned for yourself starts looking completely different? 👀

This week, I’m joined by Dr. Victoria Campfield, and her story is one of perseverance, faith, self-advocacy, and staying in the game. 💛

From being a Division I athlete and navigating academic probation, to applying to 8 schools and receiving just 1 acceptance, taking a gap year, and transitioning from a full-time to part-time student—Dr. Campfield has experienced plenty of unexpected detours.

But she didn’t quit.

In this episode, we talk about:
✨ Advocating for yourself when the traditional path doesn’t work
✨ Why you shouldn’t always be afraid to question the advice you receive
✨ Turning academic probation into a lesson—not a definition
✨ Her experience as Student President for PT CASSIG
✨ Trusting God’s timing when you can’t see what’s next
✨ And why sometimes the biggest victory is simply STAYING IN THE GAME.

If you’ve ever felt behind, counted out, or unsure if your journey is still worth pursuing—this episode is for YOU.

Your path may look different. That doesn’t mean it won’t lead you where you’re supposed to go. 🙏🏽

4 yrs ago, I was dismissed from my program with the option not to be readmitted. My life was turned upside down. I had worked so hard to get into PT school, and in that moment, it felt like my dream was never going to come true. Fast forward to today. I thank God for allowing me to share my story of resilience.

With that being said, today is a full circle moment as I would like to release my first episode of my new podcast with Sierra Williams( @snuckii ) , who shares her story of being dismissed for her nursing program to being readmitted and graduating with her MSN.
