Today was the BEST day so far at the shop.

Accomplishment #1 - 6 clients in one day
(Sounds silly but I've been waiting for that one)

Accomplishment #2 - 2 of those clients are new and will return 🙏 (they told me so)

Accomplishment #3 - skin fade in 45 mins. Start to finish. (I've been working on my skin fades so I'm proud of this one)

Accomplishment #4 - HAVE CONFIDENCE
(This one feels the greatest)

I've been working on my confidence over the last couple years. I am not sure when or how i lost it but I've missed this feeling. I have missed being proud of myself and knowing my own worth. I welcome back this familiar feeling. I am so grateful to have found that once again.

Lex has been a huge part of helping me see my worth and my talent. The way you show love and care for those who are dear to you, is unique and so special. You are such a wonderful human being and anyone is lucky to be experience you! Thanks for being a great human inspiration

All it took was inspiration from one person to begin my love for tie dye. Ruth’s famous words to me were, “Tie Dye is the art of mistakes.” I will never forget that. I have been an artist my entire life but nothing consumed me the way dying has, I could express my love for both art and clothing. I started Diva Dye in 2015 and since then it has brought so much love into my life. Over the years I’ve met so many wonderful people all because of messy art work! It wasn’t until 2018 when I made a venture to become an LLC and continue my education in business management. I wanted to take my hobby to the next level. This last year has been one I’ll never forget, it’s definitely been life changing and parts of me have felt lost. Then in the last few months I’ve had several realizations about everything in my life. At this moment Diva Dye no longer holds the same meaning I once wanted it to stand for. I want to inspire others the way Ruth inspired me. I want to put more of who I am into it and make a difference. 2020 will bring new beginnings, new friends, collaborations, events, community, and most importantly love. :) I hope to have all of you along the way so you may get to know me better through my art and work. What I hope for even more is to inspire anyone to chase after a dream, start a new hobby, or just to try anything new (not speaking strictly tie dye but anything). Everything that once was will no longer be, and what is to become is... well you will have to wait and see! Here’s to new beginnings! 💖

Love,

Lex
