##Akergirl 3& 4. The babies of the bunch. Tika Aker- Ellis was helping me in the shower and we were talking and I could tell she was getting emotional and she said, I hate that this is what you have to deal with in life now. I told her. I'm not because otherwise I would be dead as my bone infection almost tried to kill me 4 times. 8 major surgeries later, 2 hospital stays. A tumor the size of a golf ball in my face that took 85% of my hearing, I'm almost back at 100%, the removal of my ankle bone , surviving a mild stroke. Dealing with long covid and then finally the amputation. A five year ordeal, but I am still here. Thriving, learning a new normal and surprising myself with how much I can push myself to do! I am convinced that God loves me because of the family that he gave me! My sisters are my entire world and the way our parents made us understand family first, to respect each other, and Aker Pride, I'm sure they were smiling down on us this weekend!! #Akergirls #sistertrip

Congratulations to my long-time Makeup Assistant and friend, @cierraelisem, who's expecting her 1st little bundle.....and, it's a boy!!!!! Kudos to @iamdrphillips for curating this celebration of new life for her 1st grandson.

This babyshower was beyond anything I've ever attended. My Mom and I totally enjoyed ourselves immensely!!! We'll be talking about this event for a long time! The food, the live band, the fun games, and the camaraderie were unmatched! The room was filled with light, laughter, and love. Baby Jacob will enter this world draped in prayer and love. I'm just too excited for my folks!!!!

And yes, I definitely teared up! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Happy Father's Day family! At my wedding, I surprised my dad with this song for our dance! We were both in tears! He just said, Thank you Baby girl! You know you girls mean everything to me and your mom. For those who no longer have your father here on earth with you, I know that horrible feeling all too well! Happy Heavenly Father's Day to your dad's as well! #AkerGirls #FathersDay

My goodness Mommy, Today Marks a year that you gained your wings! I can't even put into words the magnitude of your loss! Thank you for being the best mother four little girls could ever ask for! The last couple of months of your life you were in so much pain, but you were still concerned about your girls, your grandbabies, and your great grandbabies. When people say to me that i am so strong to be handling all that i have been plagued with, I simply tell them, I came from a strong woman who didb't cower from a challenge, but she faced it head on! She was a stay at home mom for 11 years to make sure her girls were adjusting while daddy was deployed. I laugh now mommy about how you use to make us dress alike, , we all got the same gifts because it was important to you and daddy to ensure that we were all seen and treated equally. We thought you were so strict, but it truly was your way of showing us love and structure! Your purpose on this earth was to be an amazing mother and wife! I know when you were welcomed home, God Said well done my good and faithful servant! There was never going to be a child in your presence that was ever going to go without! You truly extended yourself to our friends as a second mother to them My sweet little girl, my Delo, my mommy, i got my new leg May 5th. I am still making strides to walk without safety tools, you would be so proud of me mommy!! Imiss your laugh, you calling me to say Rock, tell me what you think about this, or wanting to make sure that i watched the news so that i was aware of what was going on here, so that Frank and I would stay away from danger! lol i miss you mommy, but i know you are up there laughing with daddy, my grannies, and aunt Berniece. Continue to rest, it feels like I got the awful call yesterday that you were gone! This grief is unbearable! We are pushing thru, because we have you inside of us!!! i Love you mommy, continue resting! This one year without you literally has felt so suffocating, but we thank God that you are no longer in pain! tell daddy to keep coming to see me! You can come too, I'm ready for your visits now! Rest well original #Akergirl. We will continue to be #AkerStrongl I love yo

oh my perfect LIttle girl, mommy, you got a kick out od us calling each other that! It;s your first Heavenly birthday and i have been dreading the whole month of May! Granny's Heavenly Birthday, then Mother's Day ( Delo, I was a mess! I scared myself by how i was wailing, mu new neighbor knocked on my door to check to see if i was ok.. Bless his heart, he almost called the police, he thought someone was hurting me. I finally pulled it together and watched old episodes of our girl on the Equalizer! your three other daughters went to church together and Rhonda Wilkins surprised them with tickets to a concert, but they made sure they checked on me! Had i planned better i should have went to Georgia so we could all be together! Now is your birthday and Your mother's Deathaversary, another solemn day and i dread the 29th, your deathaversary. it really is too much in one month!!! Your 5th daughter, Renay Butler's mom just passed this weekend! I hope you and daddy welcolmed ma Reeda with open arms, because she surely loved me as if i were her daughter as well! i caught myself watching General Hospital the other day, so I could tell you what's been happening on there! Happy Birthday mommy! I wrote this song for yolu to celebrate your heavenly birthday! I hope daddy is able to do something great for you and my Grannies today!!! I love you forever mommy and i miss you so much!! Oh I got my new leg and i am doing ok with it! You would be so proud of me! happy birthday, kiss Daddy and my Grannies for me!
