We’ll kick off the trip spending a couple of days visiting our friends at Bimini Shark Lab, one of the world’s most renowned and longest-running shark research centers.

Their team of shark scientists will teach us about shark science, the incredible research they’ve been working on, and of course, all about Great hammerheads!

One morning, we’ll also head out a little early to visit a special spot to dive with tons of reef sharks and stop by a famous wreck to look for turtles. And another day we’ll have the opportunity to jump in the cage to see the big bull sharks that call the marina home. And make sure to keep yours peeled because quite often we’ll also spot the rare Atlantic sharpnose shark and oceanic black tip sharks as well!

Who wouldn’t want close up encounters with massive great hammerheads!? Plus, chances to see tiger sharks, bull sharks, nurse sharks, and so much more!

Lands End is an extraordinary dive site at the southernmost tip of the Baja Peninsula, where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean.

Having had the opportunity to dive here during two different years, it has easily become one of the most memorable places I’ve explored underwater. Some days, I’ve jumped in to find thousands of fish filling the water column. Other days, curious sea lions have come in for a closer look. And on the rarest of occasions, I’ve witnessed fevers of golden cownose rays moving together as one.

No two dives are ever quite the same, and for me, that’s what makes this place so remarkable.

I've just wrapped up two incredible weeks of expeditions in Baja California Sur, and what an adventure it was. 🌊✨

One of the highlights was spending time with these beautiful Munk's mobula rays (Mobula Munkiana).

They were a little harder to find this year. Because of El Niño, the water has been warmer than usual, which means the mobulas tend to be less abundant at the surface and often stay deeper in the cooler currents.

Even so, we were lucky enough to encounter several large groups throughout the trip, and every encounter was absolutely magical. 💙

These are just a few of the first photos I've had time to edit...

Now comes the fun part: sorting through more than 5,500 photos from the last two weeks! 😅📸

One thing I love about Baja is that you never know what you're going to witness next. 🦭✨

Last week during my expedition, we came across a sea lion hunting what appeared to be a moray eel.

For nearly 20 minutes, we watched from the boat as it tossed its prey through the air over and over again.

It felt like something straight out of a National Geographic documentary!

Raw, wild, fascinating... and a reminder that some of the most incredible wildlife encounters happen when you least expect them. 🌊

Just when I thought Baja California Sur couldn't surprise me anymore... 🦈✨

A thresher shark suddenly launched itself out of the water right in front of us during sunset.

I had maybe a quarter of a second to react, grab my camera, and press the shutter before it disappeared back into the ocean.

One jump. One shot. One unforgettable moment.

I've spent years photographing marine wildlife, and this was a first for me.

Baja never stops amazing me. 💙

One of my favorite things to see at La Reina: sea lions taking a little nap at the surface 🦭🌊

After all the playful underwater encounters, I love watching them slow down and just relax, floating together in the ocean.

You’ll often see one or two flippers sticking out of the water. They use them to help regulate their body temperature… basically their version of sticking one foot out of the blanket when you’re too warm while sleeping. 😄

Honestly, I can relate. Even sea lions know the importance of a comfortable nap.
