Not necessarily disability related but this is an important resource, especially now

Future dietitians must complete an undergraduate degree, a master’s degree and then they must complete and internship and then pass the RD exam

This unfortunately creates more barriers for certain populations

The dietetic field is mostly white women in abled bodies which doesn’t support the current diverse population of our society

Don’t forget that anyone can become disabled at anytime and it’s important that we continue to create spaces that are accessible for everyone 💖

📝Masters Thesis 📝

Most people see the degree. Few people see everything that happens behind it.

Right now, I’m in the IRB phase of my master’s thesis; a process that requires every aspect of
the study to be reviewed before research with participants can begin. Before getting here, there
were proposal drafts, committee meetings, literature reviews, revisions, and countless emails.

And all of this is happening while completing a clinical dietetic internship and graduate coursework.

It’s not always glamorous, but it’s teaching me patience, resilience, and what it truly means to
contribute to evidence-based practice.

For anyone currently working through a thesis, dissertation, research project, or a goal that feels
bigger than you expected: keep going. The progress is happening, even when it feels slow.

📝 One revision closer

✅ One approval closer

👩🏾‍🔬 One step closer to becoming an RD.

Saturday morning in the garden 🥰🌱

Had a great time at the @diversifydietetics Houston meet up and learned so much from @theherbcottage about herbs while exploring the @fincatresrobles garden.

Thank you to Sarah for hosting the Diversify Dietetics meet up in collaboration with FincaTresRobles
"Growing Your Kitchen Herb Garden"

I learned so much about what herbs need to grow properly and how to preserve them. And we all left with a planter full of herbs! 🌿

Herbs are a wonderful way to add flavor to dishes for those looking to lower their sodium intake. 🧂

This meet-up was such a great idea and gave us a chance to connect with fellow dietitians.🩷

What's your favorite herb to use? Let me know in the comments! 🌱
