🌈 A little bit of this, a little bit of that… and LOOK what we made! 😍

Okay, I think I might have a new favorite hobby!

I took a fused glass class with @bendglassworks at DIY Cave and obviously had to go with a rainbow theme. 🌈 You get to pick out all your own glass, play around with different colors and designs, and make something completely your own!

I had SO much fun with this one. If you’ve been looking for something different to do around Bend, I can’t recommend these classes enough!

Perfect for a date night, a fun outing with friends, or even just a little creative time for yourself. Plus, you get to make something you can actually take home!

🌈 Save this one for your next day out in Bend and send it to someone you’d love to go with!

I took the night off skating to take an Intro to Welding Class at @diycave and had a GREAT time! The instructor was awesome and it felt so good to learn something new. I can’t wait to come back and practice cleaning up these welds. #womenwhoweld #learningtoweld #diycave #learning #bendoregon

In case you missed it on my stories!!

how cute did these turn out?! 🥹🌈❤️

I finally got to see my finished glass hearts from my fused glass class with @bendglassworks at @diycave here in Bend, and I’m obsessed with how they turned out!

One of my favorite parts is seeing how differently each piece turns out once it’s fired! The colors, patterns, and placement of the glass can completely change the final look, so it’s always a fun surprise when you pick up your finished creations.

I HIGHLY recommend taking a glass class with @bendglassworks! Seriously, so much fun no matter what you’re creating. There are so many different projects to choose from, and you don’t need any experience to give it a try. Whether it’s a date night, a girls’ day, or just an excuse to get out and try something new, it’s such a fun way to spend a few hours. Plus, you get to make something you’ll actually want to keep! 🫶

Have you ever tried a fused glass class before?

Busy week in the DIYcave Jewelry Studio 🔥🔨✨

This week, students got hands-on with **Intro to Soldering: Stacker Rings** and **Intro to Metalsmithing**—turning raw metal into jewelry, one skill at a time.

We sawed.
We soldered. 🔥
We shaped.
We hammered + textured. 🔨
We polished.
We added patina.
And we made some seriously cool jewelry. ✨

From learning how to control a torch to getting that first clean solder seam—and watching a piece completely transform at the polishing wheel—there was a LOT happening at the bench this week.

New skills. New tools. Lots of creativity.

A little glass + a lot of heart from Bend Glassworks. ❤️🔥

Last week, our amazing volunteers turned scraps of colorful glass into these little fused-glass hearts. Then we brought them to First Friday in Downtown Bend and gave them away for donations to support the crews, pilots, and firefighters working out of the Redmond Air Tanker Base.

And you all showed up. ❤️

Together, we raised $270!

Thank you to our incredible volunteers who made the hearts, @diycave for giving us the space to create them, @patagoniabend for having us, and everyone who came @downtownbendoregon and picked a heart and donated.

It was pretty special watching a pile of glass scraps turn into a whole lot of community love. 🌈❤️

🌿 Ever wanted to make your own monstera leaf stained glass?

My mom and I took this class with Heather from @bendglassworks, and it was such a fun experience from start to finish!

We picked out our own glass, learned the stained glass process step by step, and got to watch our monstera leaves slowly come together. I loved getting to do this with my mom, and now I have something we made ourselves that I can actually hang in my home. 💛

Missed this one? Heather has TWO more monstera leaf stained glass classes coming up at DIY Cave!

If stained glass has been on your list of things to try, this is your chance! Grab someone you’d love to make one with and check out @bendglassworks’ class at @diycave for all the details.
