POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Progress comes from experimenting, and not every idea is going to work perfectly the first time.

I was sent some Tri Edge oscillating tool blades from @oxtoolsusa to try out. The concept is pretty clever, three segmented cutting edges, so when one gets dull, you snap it off and keep going with the next.

I actually commented on @dj.tiling ‘s video featuring these blades (first part of this video) that I thought they might snap during use, especially if the blade got bound up in wood. A few people disagreed and argued how strong they were.

Well, on my very first cut with the very first blade, that’s exactly what happened. 😂 I then proceeded to use the last section to finish the cut, of which I did hit a screw at the end (certainly not meant for that) before switching to the second blade they sent and testing it on some lumber I had outside.

I’m not knocking the product or the people behind it. I genuinely think it’s an interesting idea with potential. My takeaway is that these are probably better suited for controlled, clean cuts in wood rather than the unpredictable abuse that comes with demolition.

Innovation takes trial and error, and I’d rather see companies trying something different than not trying at all.

Just sharing my experience, not writing off the idea. 🤙

I don’t think many people understand how much it means to me when someone likes a post of mine, leaves a comment and of course hires me to do work for them. Blessed to have this business and grateful that I have so many people helping me out along the way🧡
