Hello there, I'm a #stopmotion #animator #armature & #puppet #maker currently working @mackandsaund and openfor #freelance #commissions

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

What a YEAR an a HALF! Today I finish @aardmananimations where I’ve been working in their incredible puppet department; what a team to be apart of!

My first job here was to be part of the chicken run 2 maintenance team; repairing, creating and final checking characters of the main cast! 😱 along with making that delectable blob that was tweedy flopping onto the floor 😆

Not long after I started working on a AWESOME tv series pilot; one which I CAN NOT WAIT for everyone to see! 🔥🥹

Let’s hope some new projects get greenlit soon and I’ll be back; not only working but playing boardgames an dnd with some fellow nerds in the canteen after hours. 🤓🥰

Until then here’s to the mischievous unknown to the coming year; hope it’s brings as exciting friendships and projects! Have a wonderful Christmas and new years everyone following my insta 🧡 x

I saw the Halloween episode aired last month so I can finally post 😁
(Swipe for the video from universal kids)
I got to make a tiny bride of Frankenstein costume wig a few years ago and it made me soOo happy.
Making stop motion wigs are kind of like tiny sculptures 😍

> Frankenstein and the bride were beautifully posed by animator and puppet making guru @djanimationuk

My first animation test with my new armature. Getting used to the limitations and joints as such. Requires a bit of work with the ankles (since this character doesn’t have any). But otherwise all good. Well done to @djanimationuk once again for the fine work! 👏👏👏. #stopmotionanimation #stopmotion #armatures #armaturepuppet #ballandsocketarmature

I was very excited to receive not only a well made armature from @djanimationuk through the post. But a pair of great looking swords made by @wjhdavies to put into action.

This is a long term side project that will test my model making and problem solving with animating a complicated armature.

The identity of the character will be revealed in time.

Introducing a project called ‘The Fly’ by @djanimationuk which he built from scratch using a variety of our @animationtoolkit products!

We posted an earlier version of his project earlier on in the year so it’s been great seeing this take shape. What do you think?

If you have any questions for Dan on The Fly then feel free to comment below 👍👇
