A look back at this past weekend’s CDG General Membership Meeting, where our costume community always shows up in style. ✨

It’s a pleasure having our members in the same room, sharing the creativity and community that make the CDG so special. Congratulations to our newest members! 💖💖💖📷 @anna_wyckoff

What does it really mean to be an Assistant Costume Designer? On September 26, costume professionals at every stage of their careers came together to discuss the role of the Assistant Costume Designer and the many paths a career in costume design can take.

• Christine Cover-Ferro | CDG ACD Costume Representative
• Leigh Bell | Emmy-winning Co-Designer, Palm Royale Season 2
• Tracy Jarvis | Emmy-winning ACD, Margo’s Got Money Troubles
• Tyler Kinney | Emmy-winning ACD, The Studio Season 1
• Sarah Jeanne Mgeni | Emmy-nominated Associate Costume Designer, The Boys Season 5

Moderated by Emmy-nominated Assistant Costume Designer David Matwijkow, the conversation offered insight, experience, and perspective from professionals working across the industry.

The evening continued with an ACD meet-and-greet, giving attendees the opportunity to connect and build relationships with fellow costume professionals (while also playing some fun games).

Thank you to Education Director Ivy Thaide and everyone who joined us, making this conversation possible! 🎬✨

Directing @cdglocal892 SDCC 2026 was a truly remarkable experience. From fans lining up to see our panels, our costume displays at our booth, guest members signing exclusive trading cards, magazines, posters and our members being the true celebrities! Many cosplayers recreate our member’s designs and it’s so great to see it each year. #comiccon #costumedesign #behindthescene

Special thanks to @seaweedbrainpodcast, and Erica Ito for moderating our panel with @djmatwijkow, @the_zoeneary and @damlandman and to all the fans who came to hear all about our season, and our monsters and the adventures of putting the costumes together in time for this wonderful series !! We had so much fun! The time flew by and I am only sad we didn’t get to answer all the questions from the audience 😢 they were great insightful questions and a testament to the storytelling and knowledge fans have.
A shout out also to the @cdglocal892 for everything involved in making this epic called SDCC happen! #sdcc2026 #costumedesignersguild #cdglocal892 #costumedesign
