First place Australian DMC routine for 2023! (4th in the world)

This routine was designed for a for a live audience so it's a little awkward performing it in the studio, but thought i would post it for all the scratch nerds that want to see all the gory detail!

You were always meant to end up here 🌀

The Late Night program would not have been achieved without the incredible team behind it. Night Mass: DEAD END marks my second year as the associate producer for this project and it’s been an honour to curate it beside creative mastermind and director @bitchy_pitchy and music program curator @darrenlesaguis wtaf !

342 artists graced our three storey superclub across the two week festival and transformed the venue into a euphoric world 💌

Special thanks to @jalagoikoetxea Meg Horan and @meg.xnn for flying everyone across the globe to nipaluna ❣️

AUS TOUR DUMP PT 4 - HOBART / NIPALUNA 🐓🩸

still too much to process but hobart was really something else.

night mass: dead end was built around this idea that the hyperlocal is universal, that the references, jokes, obsessions and stories that feel so specific to one place can somehow become powerful when shared and amplified. and honestly that felt like the perfect place for budots/post-budots.

@djlove_sherwintuna and i were first booked on the chickenfeed stage, inspired by this beloved tasmanian discount store chain turned local myth / meme / inside joke / cultural landmark. being clued in on the chickenfeed lore was probably the best thing that happened to us in hobart.

if i tried to explain the stage you probably wouldn’t believe me: fake store pillaging, tissue riots, goblins, tom foolery, dildo squirt strap ons where people took limoncello shots from, art installations, chickenfeed memorabilia, and a disco rotisserie chicken replacing the disco ball. ridiculous, beautiful, and somehow perfect.

the best part was that it felt like a mystery blindbox lineup (no one knew we were playing and where, maliban sa ig followers nmen and yung organizers opcors). no hype, no fame game, just people giving themselves to the room and reacting purely to the music.

then in the most serendipitous blessing, dj love got moved on day two to the main stage at bridgewater. watching budots travel from davao to that stage felt surreal in the best way.

hyperlocal is universal. budots is proof.

Today we took photos for the new @dharmayogacentre website - it was so exciting to open the doors to the centre for the first time to some of our dear friends ❤️ the space feels amazing, especially with people in it moving, breathing and going within 🙏🪷
