Which album cover do you like best?

Imagine a film with a soundtrack curated by a son of Ensley, remixed by the legendary @djrahdu, then pressed on wax.

Details coming soon. But, you gotta pick one first.

By “93, I was a FULL-BLOWN Hip Hop head. However, when I first heard Digable Planets’ Reachin’’, I had no idea the trajectory that album, and others like it, would set me on.

I had little to no interest in Jazz back then. Fast forward a few decades, and I can’t get enough of it. 😂 All because of the jazz jewels artists like Digable Planets embedded in their music that planted seeds I didn’t even realize were growing.

I had the opportunity to see Digable Planets twice in the South, once in Atlanta and again in my hometown of Birmingham, Alabama. Never in a million years would I have imagined that one day I’d be able to create something for a member of their crew that they’d enjoy, just as much as I’ve enjoyed what they’ve given me through their music.

But here we are. ❤️

Doodlebug received his RahduDidIt custom box on Monday and made this video, and I’m happy to share it with y’all. Moments like this remind me why I do what I do.

Thank you @officialdoodlebug, @planetsdigable, and EVERYONE who supports @RahduDidIt. Whether you support the music, the boxes, or both, I appreciate you more than you know.

From the crates that shaped me to the boxes I create. This one means a lot. 🙏🏾🎶

This is how Rahdu Does It.

This 14” × 14” × 8” LP box started with a customer’s idea and ended up as a one-of-one piece.

Black leather. Red interior. Silver hardware. A handmade, hand-stitched leather handle.

And the centerpiece? A photo of golfer, Charlie Sifford on the front, because that’s what makes a custom piece CUSTOM.

I enjoy the challenge of taking somebody’s idea, figuring out how to make it work, and then putting my own hands on it until it becomes something they can actually use and enjoy.

That’s RahduDidIt.

You bring the idea. I build it.

Got an idea for a custom 45 or LP box? DM me and let’s talk about it.

Who is @rahdudidit? RahduDidIt Custom Vinyl Storage was born in 2020 from longtime DJ and vinyl collector DJ Rahdu’s need for a better way to store and transport his growing collection of 45s.

With more than 20 years behind the turntables, Rahdu designed handmade record boxes that are durable enough for the road, functional enough for the DJ booth, and stylish enough to stand on their own as part of a collection.

What started as a personal solution quickly grew into a business after his first box caught attention on Instagram. Today, RahduDidIt creates unique, handmade storage boxes for 7” 45s and 12” LPs, and has showcased its work at vinyl markets and events including VinylCon.

Built for the records. Designed to be seen. Dope right? He will be at @craftsandcratesatl Saturday 9/19! Make sure to mark your calendars!

VINYL COLLECTORS & DJs YOU WALK INTO A RECORD STORE WITH $100. WHAT’S YOUR FIRST MOVE? 👀

No overthinking it.
You walk through the door, you’ve got $100 to spend on vinyl records, and instinct takes over.

Where are you going FIRST?

1️⃣ New Arrivals — you need to know what just came in.
2️⃣ 45s First — little records, big priorities.
3️⃣ Dollar Bins — because real crate diggers know the gems aren’t always sitting on the wall.
4️⃣ Soul & Funk — groove, melody and records that never leave the bag.
5️⃣ Hip-Hop — beats, breaks, samples and history.
6️⃣ Ask What Came In Today — because sometimes the best record in the store hasn’t even hit the floor yet.

Every record collector, vinyl DJ and crate digger has a routine.
And the funny part is… your first move probably says a lot about the kind of collector you are. 😂

👇 DROP YOUR NUMBER IN THE COMMENTS: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6.

Then tell me this:

What’s the ONE record you’re hoping to find when you walk into a record store?

I want to see what the vinyl community is hunting for right now.

📌 SAVE this for your next record-store trip.

↗️ SHARE it with the friend you always go crate digging with.

👥 TAG the person who would blow the entire $100 in the first 10 minutes. 😂

No wrong answer. Just your instinct.
