An incredible night of wall to wall goth bangers at We are the Night Queer Goth night at @evowonderlounge 🖤🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Thanks to @djravecat and @dark_matter_01101 for absolutely killing it, pumping out insanely good sets for us all in a dark basement dancing with Edmonton's best weirdos including @jenntropy__ and @trusha.tsarko
I had the best time and it filled my little gothic heart after a long week. 🔥🦇

The dance floor is the best place for time and real life to melt away for a bit, and goth night at Evo is my favorite night! All of the goth spaces in Edmonton are always very welcoming, but it feels especially at home for me at Evo.

I brought along my camera to play around with a vintage Pentax Takumar lens from ~1965 that was lost in an attic for 30 years that I refurbished (a weird little hobby of mine). This one is particularly interesting because it's rear element is made of a radioactive thorium glass ☢️ that darkens over time but gives some interesting contrast. Shooting manual in the dark was definitely a challenge, but I got some killer snaps and a few very beautifully just out of focus that I likely wouldn't have gotten on my modern autofocus glass, so grateful that I brought it along!! 🖤📷
