Edmonton, it's almost time for FURequency!! Featuring 7 DJs, 2 dancefloors, 4 vendors, a face painter plus a costume contest with cash prize - expect a night of hot beats and fuzzy treats as we howl before Howl!

Join us as we take over all of @evowonderlounge and show what we're about - expect an evening of community, of pre-halloween party spirit and dance floors designed to make you move!

Vendors include: @socket_and_dream @lunarfitscreations @pupart @possumspocket & @rexyjackal

Tickets are moving VERY fast, but luckily you can still get $10 presale pricing by following the Showpass link in my bio (or pay $15 at the door). This is going to be the biggest non-convention furry party of the year, so grab your tickets & friends and meet us on the dance floor! Plus we're having a costume contest, so dress up in your funnest outfits (fursuits or accessories not required, all are welcome!), show us how you do Halloween and win some cash!!

Come shake your tail with us - FURequency is 9:30pm on Friday October 16th at Evo (11508 Jasper Ave).

Please note this is a kink & queer pawsitive 18+ event, you don't need to be a furry or have gear to come have fun (but you may learn some things about yourself!) =^.^= by @djravecat

FURequency, YEG's biggest furry rave, is TONIGHT at @evowonderlounge - with 8 DJs across two dancefloors, 5 vendors, a UV face painter, a cash prize costume contest, sound reactive visuals and a community full of amazing people - this is the premier fuzzy event outside of a convention and you don't want to miss it!!

join us this evening - doors are at 9pm (although of course you can come earlier and grab dinner and some drinks any time after 4pm) and i will be kicking the party off at 9:30pm SHARP with an electrifyingly funky set of electroswing and pop mashups! then we get to absolutely groove to the dance inducing sounds of @misskittymusic @aliendawgfunk @djotternonsense @djpengwen @sapphodalliance & @_caraboo 🔥🎵🎚️🌈

Vending by: @socket_and_dream @pupart @possumspocket @rexyjackal and UV face painting by @lunarfitscreations

This is your last chance to save $5 off the door price by buying a presale ticket on Showpass (link is in my bio) and directly support our artists and continued furry events! So grab yours before 6pm today, bring your friends and come shake your tail with us!! 😻🎶⚡

(Please note that this is a queer & kink pawsitive 18+ event - you don't need to be a furry to attend, you don't need a suit or ears or gear at all, just come as you are and make new friends! Furries sure know how to party!)

Doors at 9pm, music starts at 9:30pm and goes till 2:30. Coat check is included in ticket price, but please try to keep luggage to a reasonable level and tip our lovely staff if you can!! Huge thanks to Evo for hosting us and being such a great community partner! =^.^= taken in Evolution Wonderlounge EVO by @djravecat

i just want to give a HUGE shoutout and my absolute gratitude to @nwfearfest and the entire @nwfyeg and @rvffyeg organization from the board to the volunteers to the artists to the filmmakers to the attendees and of course @themetrocinema for having us every year!!

back when northwestfest was known as global visions, i began volunteering at this neat little documentary film festival and was amazed to find my way back into the creative world after a long social hiatus (due to my fibro and life kicking my tush). i found friends, passionate afficianados and a volunteer family that eventually also spanned their queer film festival (rainbow visions) and scary fearfest. i got the pleasure of helping supporters and fans find cool merch, met tons of really awesome people and saw many great films (as well as collected cool badges, bought stickers and pins and shirts and tonight the lovely poster that accompanies my reminiscing grateful post).

so thank you, Northwestfest and the entire organization so SO MUCH, for taking me in and helping me relearn how to be in the public and give back as part of an awesome group!! my life has gotten busy enough i haven't been able to contribute many volunteer shifts this past year, and i think it's time for me to make some room for other passionate people who want to be a part of something incredible.. i owe everyone involved a huge thanks from the bottom of my heart for helping me be involved and finding my way back to the world!

SO! if you like horror films and campy classics, follow northwestfest and get on down to the Garneau Theater tomorrow and this weekend and support independent cinema and an amazing venue that gives so much to our city! (they show tons of wicked flicks most days of the year, for the whole family!)

PLUS they're frickin' playing Big Trouble in Little China this weekend, i mean come on total classic (that explains way too much of my childhood humour lol). bring your friends, grab some snacks, enjoy the new vintage retro wallpaper and incredible art and all the awesome custom movie posters and enjoy a slice of community and fun! 💜🔥😻 by @djravecat
