A film I designed called "Orion" is out in theaters today. We shot this in Syracuse NY in 2024. The before times. This one allowed me almost total creative freedom which made it a truly memorable experience. A huge thanks to some of the key players, namely director @jacobouwer whose calm demeaner and intelligent attention to detail was a refreshing change of pace. Also the extremely gifted DP @dkruta ,whom I met on this job, became an immediate ally and I truly enjoyed my calloboration with both him and Jaco. If you know anything about me you know its art over everything. Those 2 operate on the same vibration making this 2 month experience quite intense. Also huge thanks to producer Sunil Perkash @sunilperkash whose passion for this project could not be contained. I tried. You can't contain it. Plus the man has a gift with starting great conversation, a rarity. Also in order, huge thanks to my crew. I pulled in 2 amazing young ladies that I had met on a tv show in NYC the previous years, set dec Sara Briggs @trisaraitops and art coordinator Lisa Fortino @lisassy4tiny. They took the opportunity and absolutely killed it. THANK YOU. Also want to thank a young man who likes to call himself Michael Joseph Bowen @michaeljosephbowen for stepping up into the art director role and befriending a welder with a shop who was 200 yards from the stage. Crucial. I would draw things to be welded and Michael would show up with them an hour later. I miss that. I will post a few different things in the coming weeks from this film but as a starting point here is "The Instrument". I began developing this idea in ZBrush early on. The limitations of a tight budget require digging deep, or in this case, carving foam. I had a legendary master carver at my side by the name of Nikolay Mikushkin who guided me through this process. Eternally grateful for that connection, friendship, and transfer of knowledge. More to come and thanks again to everyone involved. 🖤

It's always a miracle to get a movie made let alone independently and to get ever get it seen but today Orion triumphantly lands in theaters nationwide. This was such a labor of love for so many of us! I hope it entertains audiences and sparks some spirited discussion about truth and communication! And if the audience feels the time they spent watching what we put our hearts and souls into making to be worthy...that would be the dream! Why I make movies !🍿 🎥

Two solid days of location scouting for They Like The Dark in New Jersey and man, I forgot how much I missed the East Coast. The food, the people, the beautiful old mills, this place is build for horror. It’s been a blast catching up with old friends, making some new ones, and slowly shaping the team that’s going to bring this film to life. Huge shout out to Liz, our incredible location manager, for finding some absolutely epic spots. Kruta and I have been two peas in a pod these last couple of days, walking through buildings and getting excited over every hallway, staircase, and rooftop. My producing team has been nothing short of incredible too. Watching everyone solve problems together reminds me why filmmaking is such a team sport. Wrapped it all up with a little bar safari with Sam, sporting my director fit from my favorite men’s clothing shop @freenotecloth It’s just the beginning, but these last couple of days gave me a real taste of what the back half of this year is going to look like. After all these years of chasing this dream, it’s pretty wild to finally be standing in the places where this movie is going to come to life.
