$Friday Oct 30th, 7pm doors, show 7:30pm at Temescal Art Center in Oakland, CA. Honored to play this show with new and old friends. I will doing a first time collaboration with the multi faceted IDHAZ, one of my favorite artists I meet a few years ago. Videos 1 & 2 are from my recent show as Transient with drummer Edwin Ayala and film maker Anna Geyer at @sfcinematheque ‘s Micro Spells. The later images are of IDHAZ. The amazing line up features: Marcia Bassett (NYC) and StCelfer (NYC) Electronic sonic events in real time, smudging distinctions between analog, digital, body, and instrument. Danishta Rivero (CA) is an improviser, performer, and sound artist based in Oakland, California. She explores the artifacts resulting from heavy processing of the voice and their relationship to its acoustic resonance. Jenny Gräf (DK/US) performs a set combining self-built electroacoustic instruments, analogue synthesizer, and vocals. Moving from the quiet shimmer of her hand-built speakers to the raw, resonant textures of her metal bow instrument and synth, the set moves through shifting terrain between noise, voice, and electroacoustic sound. This is Gräf’s first West Coast performance in seven years. Transient & IDHAZ (SF, CA) Transient was founded by David R. Molina in 2000, as a solo and collaborative project exploring electro-acoustic, ambient, noise, industrial, free improvisation, sound art, shoegaze, and experimental music. He is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, sound designer, music producer, and instrument inventor, who has worked on social justice centered performing arts, film, and multimedia productions for 30 years. IDHAZ is a producer/vocalist transporting through obscured portals to sounds of undiscovered emotion, past, future, and fractured light. He began performing poetry in 2010, and since then has become a magnetic, multi-disciplinary performance artist and audio engineer in the Bay Area. Combining elements of harp, gameboy, beat machines, samples, and genre fluid vocals, IDHAZ creates visceral soundscapes to immerse into. #experimentalmusic #soundart #liveelectronicmusic #improvisedmusic$
