🚨 STAFFY OWNERS - TURN THE BAG OVER.

You could be paying premium prices for dog food that doesn’t even clearly tell you which animal its main protein comes from, or how much of it is actually in the bag.

“Dehydrated poultry protein” might sound impressive, but which poultry? Chicken? Turkey? A mixture? Where’s the percentage?

Your Staffy deserves better than clever wording and guesswork.

Big Bully Signature Superfood contains 65% animal ingredients, with named animal sources and clearly stated percentages. We believe you should understand exactly what you’re buying and feeding your dog.

Go and check your dog’s food now. What are the first three ingredients? Put them in the comments or send us a photo of the label, we’ll help you understand it properly.

Ready to change your Staffy’s food? Message us “STAFFY” and we’ll help you choose the right Big Bully recipe.

Available from Dog Centre MK or order nationwide at www.bigbullypetsupplies.co.uk

Are you choosing your dog’s food because of what’s inside the bag or because of the name printed on the front?

The front of the bag sells the food. The back of the bag tells you what you’re actually feeding.

In this video, I compare Royal Canin, Hill’s Science Plan and Big Bully Pet Supplies by turning the bags around and reading the composition.

The Royal Canin recipe lists dehydrated poultry protein but doesn’t tell you which poultry or what percentage is included. That’s followed by several separately listed cereal ingredients and other vaguely described animal ingredients.

Science Plan is more transparent, declaring 17% total poultry, including 14% chicken, but wheat, maize and broken rice still feature prominently.

Then we have Big Bully has clearly named meat, a clearly stated meat content and ingredients such as sweet potato and peas. You know what you’re buying and what you’re putting into your dog’s bowl.

Are we biased? We’re not asking you to blindly take our word for it. Every point comes directly from the composition printed on these three bags. Read them, compare them and make your own decision.

This is my honest opinion and for me, the difference is black and white.

Your dog eats this food every single day. They deserve more than clever packaging and a famous name. They deserve quality ingredients and complete transparency.

Do you actually know what’s in your dog’s biscuits? 👀

Don’t trust the pictures and promises on the front, turn the bag over and read the composition. Clearly named meat should be the main part of the food, not wheat, maize, vague animal ingredients and clever marketing.

Check the bag. Know what you’re feeding. Your dog deserves better.

It might be cooler today, but still warm enough to warrant a frozen treat!

One @frozzys_ Blueberry Frozen Yogurt each from @dogcentremk

The smalls needed a little assistance with theirs because tiny paws + frozen yogurt pot = logistical nightmare.

Cooper, however?
Absolute professional.

Paws firmly gripping the pot.
No help required.
He’s clearly trained for this exact moment his entire life 😂

And the best bit?

Once the frozen yogurt is gone, the pot becomes a toy they’re allowed to rip to pieces.

Snack AND enrichment.
Everyone wins!

Although I’m fairly certain Cooper would argue the other two yogurts should also have been his.

POV: You can't be trusted in @dogcentremk - naturally your dogs now need their own freezer 😂

Too hot for walkies today?
Skip the walk.
Do this instead.

Not every dog needs to be marched around the block in a heatwave.

Sometimes the safest choice is staying indoors and giving them something to work their brain instead.

Today’s enrichment setup:
Training treats from @dogcentremk
Puzzle cubes from @petsathomeuk

And before anyone says “my dog doesn’t have fancy enrichment toys” - you do NOT need to buy anything.

You can make your own at home using:
- cardboard boxes
- toilet roll tubes
- towels or blankets
- muffin trays with tennis balls on top

Sniffing, problem solving and foraging all tap into your dog’s natural instincts and can help burn mental energy without overheating them.

And yes, Cooper was very pleased with his puzzle.

Until he finished his far too quickly and realised everyone else still had snacks left.

Cue the sad face at the end 😂

If your dog seems bored because you’ve skipped a walk today, enrichment might be exactly what they need.

A tired dog isn’t always a physically exhausted dog - mental stimulation matters too.

🚨 FROM CONSTANT ITCHING & PAINFUL SKIN… TO THIS ❤️🐶

Meet Annie 🐾

When Annie first came to us, she was really struggling 💔
Her skin was red, sore, inflamed and incredibly itchy. She was uncomfortable every single day and her owners were desperate to help her.

Before coming to Dog Centre MK, Annie’s owners had done EVERYTHING they were told to do…

🏥 Multiple vet visits
💸 Spent a small fortune
💊 Steroids
🥣 Prescription dry dog food

…but nothing truly worked.

The symptoms kept coming back and Annie was still suffering 😔

That’s when we decided to strip everything right back and start Annie on a STRICT RAW elimination diet using a SINGLE protein source — Rabbit 🐇

For the last 10 weeks Annie has been fed ONLY:

🥩 Big Bully Pet Supplies Rabbit 80/10/10
🦴 Natural Rabbit Treats supplied by the @dogcentremk

No cheats. No extras. No hidden ingredients.
Because with an elimination diet, consistency is EVERYTHING 👏

And now… LOOK AT HER 😍

Her skin problems have completely disappeared.
The redness has gone.
The itching has stopped.
And Annie finally looks comfortable, healthy and HAPPY ❤️

This is why we’re so passionate about educating owners on nutrition and raw feeding. Sometimes the issue isn’t solved by masking symptoms… sometimes the body is simply reacting to what’s being fed.

We’re now working closely with Annie’s owners to slowly introduce new protein sources and monitor how she reacts, helping identify exactly what works best for HER 💪

And honestly… massive credit to Annie’s owners 👏
Elimination diets are NOT easy. They take commitment, patience and discipline. But when done properly, the results can be life changing ❤️

I went a bit overboard in @dogcentremk again yesterday!

- Raw frozen 100% turkey
- Raw frozen beef rib bones
- Raw goats milk
- Cow skin (hair on)
- Hairy rabbit ears
- Pumpkin powder
- 100% rabbit training bites
- Giant pizzle sticks
- Frozen veg mix with courgette, spinach, butternut squash, broccoli, pumpkin, flaxseed, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, goji berries, kelp and coconut

I swear, these dogs eat better than I do 😂

The turkey is nice and lean and easy on the stomach.
The goats milk is brilliant for gut health.
The pumpkin powder has already saved my life multiple times with upset stomachs.
And the rabbit training bites smell absolutely vile, which means they work perfectly.

The beef rib bones, cow skin and giant pizzles are mainly for chewing and keeping them occupied, but honestly I think people underestimate how important that stuff is.

So many dogs are constantly hyped up, frustrated or looking for something to do because they never actually get to do proper dog stuff anymore.

Chewing, ripping, licking, sniffing, shredding - it all matters.

Even the frozen veg mix is more than just "healthy food".
Adding different textures, smells and foods into meals makes things more interesting for them.
Plus the extra nutrients are always a bonus.

The hairy rabbit ears though.
Absolutely foul.
I hate touching them.
The dogs would probably sell me for one.

One thing I will say - always supervise dogs with chews, bones and natural treats.
Choking hazards, splintering and allergies can happen with literally anything, especially if your dog likes inhaling food like it owes them money.

Now I just need freezer space for human food again.

Always a successful trip to @dogcentremk - thanks to Mitch and the boys there for always hooking me up with the best natural and raw food and treats 🙏🏻

Are you looking to move your dog over to a raw diet?

Studies have shown that fresh, species-appropriate diets - including raw feeding - may help support calmer behaviour, better focus, improved digestion and more balanced energy levels.

A lot of behaviour starts from the inside out.
If a dog constantly feels uncomfortable, overstimulated or nutritionally unsupported, that can absolutely show up in their behaviour too.
