What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Wells? ❤️

We love this photo, taken by @dogenazazena from the gardens at @bishopspalacewells, overlooking the well pools that give the city of Wells its name, with the majestic @wells_cathedral in the background.

Share this with a friend who needs to visit Wells this year! 🏰

The peopled trees of Bristol (and the animaled buildings too!). Animated faces in every corner and neck of the woods, look at this expression; there are many stories here. It seems everywhere a corner is turned there is a changing wind and other soul to make acquaintance with. I felt not alone for one moment , especially not in Leigh Woods. Thanks also to Emma for being one of the animate souls to pop up and say "hello!" Really sweet, and fun day. #naturephotography #natureeveryday #bristol #animist

Big turnout for Wassail yesterday.
My first, and not my last, waking of the apple trees, eating of the apple cake, drinking of the mulled apple juice, and enjoying of the Morris dancing.

Love these old quirky seasonal traditions.

Leg-bells and hankies - stirring energy
Sticks and old tin - stirring earth
Chants and cheers - stirring heart

Starting the year with my first commission in one of my favourite magazines being published. I actually wrote this piece on ecotherapy for @psychologiesmagazine a few weeks before Elphie was born last summer, inspired by a powerful, empowering ecotherapy session I had with my art psychotherapist at the time (see second-last photo – which makes more sense if you read the feature!). It was such a fascinating subject to dive into and research beyond my own encounter with it though. I’m grateful to eco-psychotherapist and author Emma Palmer (who happens to share my married name!) for generously sharing with me her insights, experience and wisdom on ecopsychology, as both a philosophy and practice, in what was such a juicy conversation – as well as sharing some tips for us all to embrace the principles of ecotherapy every day 🌱🍃🌳🌍

Thank you @heidiscrim for the commission and for being such a pleasure to work with!

⁣Her: ‘We met 25 years ago learning to meditate at our local Buddhist centre and started going out together five years later. The tall man popped the question out walking last Christmas Day - little did we realise the scale of the pandemic coming our way. Wedding plans have been arranged and re-arranged. We got married at midday today. Halloween seemed about right in such a surreal year, when a sense of humour has helped! We’re looking forward to celebrating with friends and family when lockdown measures permit - hopefully next summer.’ ⠀
