Throwback to one of our early morning runs down the river at the end of July 🐾

We usually try to run 3 times a month but haven’t done that recently as I just haven’t had the energy! We’ve only ran once so far in October so need to try to run once more this month 🏃‍♀️

I really wasn’t feeling going for a run today. In all honesty I’m pretty burnt out with life, i didn’t really have the energy to run.

I’m glad I did though. Time to reflect and think about things and let’s face it, you always feel better after a run.

𝐖𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐨𝐠? 𝐆𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐚 𝐠𝐨! 🐾

Our taster sessions are designed to introduce you to canicross if you don't have your own equipment yet and want to give it a try before investing in your own kit.

You'll have use of a running belt, suitable harnesses and lines, plus DogFit-certified coaching every step of the way.

We'll go through all the FAQs and answer any questions you have. And don't worry, you absolutely do NOT have to be a runner to start canicross, you don't need to be fast, and your dog won't pull you over - it's a promise! We'll help you and your dog find your feet (and paws!) together.

Taster sessions cost £25 and last around an hour. Don't worry, we won't be running for the whole hour! The session is designed to introduce you to the sport in a friendly, supportive environment.

Ready to give it a go?

Send us a message to book your spot, or email welshunderdogs@outlook.com.

We can't wait to get you and your four-legged running partner started!

Today required a lot of concentration from the dogs: a new location (so lots of new mental stimulation), running, listening to commands on an unfamiliar route, turn taking to be first at turns, hill training, behind command and passing practise. They were pretty tired towards the end. Well done you lot your dogs did you proud today. I can’t believe it’s the last one next week 😳. Good luck to @health_with_nes on your marathon tomorrow and @jane.h.l on your 5k Canicross event at Dalby. It’ll be interesting how Enzo does with the commands on an unfamiliar route 👍.

Gorgeous autumnal morning for this lovely lot. Gorgeous routes, views and weather (if a little chilly to start with). Great running and great company. Bloody funny over coffee too 🙈🤣

👑💎 Lord Iain and the Princesses of the Season 💎👑

Dearest gentle readers… 💌

It would appear that the social season has delivered yet another spectacle worthy of the finest society pages! On Sunday past, Lord Iain was spotted canicrossing the ever-elegant Princess Bramble and Princess Jelly through the magnificent grounds of Castle Howard at the illustrious @traildoguk event 🏰🐾✨

Clad not in fine carriages, but @nonstopdogwear harnesses and running gear, our two princesses led their gallant gentleman through the grounds with all the determination and grace one might expect from ladies of such distinguished standing 👑💎

But, dear readers, this was no mere leisurely promenade through the countryside! Oh no! The competition was fierce, the pace was spirited, and the stakes were most certainly high. For Lord Iain was not simply there to admire the scenery and escort his noble companions… he was there to make his mark upon society!

And make his mark he did, securing himself FOURTH MAN! 🎉 A most impressive achievement, indeed, and one that is certain to set tongues wagging across the ton. One can only wonder whether such a performance will earn him an invitation to even more prestigious gatherings in the seasons to come 🤭🥂

As for Princess Bramble and Princess Jelly? One suspects they were entirely unsurprised by their gentleman’s success. After all, a princess knows the value of surrounding herself with the right company… and these two ladies have clearly trained their Lord Iain rather well! 😂🐶👑

Yet, dearest readers, one question remains… was it Lord Iain who led his princesses to glory, or were these two distinguished ladies merely permitting him to accompany them for the afternoon? One may never know 👀

Lady Whistledog shall certainly be keeping a close eye on this most intriguing trio. For where there are two princesses, one ambitious lord, and a fourth-place finish, there is surely a tale worth telling!

Until the next gathering, dear readers, remember: the true measure of a gentleman is not merely how swiftly he runs, but the company he keeps along the way 💌✨

Yours most inquisitively,
Lady Whistledog 🖋️💎

When you get challenged to a race from another dog and you can’t say no. Everyone else is just an object to navigate 🤣

Even though I really wasn’t feeling it, the boys were being so odd they just needed to get out and burn off some energy.

Going for a solo run though? Make that a run with a million wee stops (each).

Not another training block 🤭. ULTRA EDITION 🏃‍♂️⛰️

Starting with the usual “I can do anything” energy in week 1 🤣💪 . Let’s see how long that lasts!

🎯 Next up: @rwcraces Celtic Ultra — 34 miles & 5,600ft+ of vert. Still riding the Cardiff Half fitness wave, so we’re off to a solid start!

📊 40 miles covered | 3,848ft of vert ⛰️

The plan over the next 10 weeks? Very different from Half Marathon training. More time on feet, more vert. Easy enough, right? 👀😂

Parents’ responsibilities this week: HOLD MY BEER 🍻💀
