It's nearly time for Sailing Thru the Winter Solstice. To avoid recreating the Edmund Fitzgerald, we need to get a move on prepping the Dancing Queen. Boats go into Carroll Creek November 21, so I'm already delightfully behind schedule.

This year, we're teaming with @dogfriendlyfrederick cause dogs are awesome.

What a difference 24 hours makes.

Last night we hosted a Halloween party at Steinhardt Brewing Company. Tonight we’re back in the same space celebrating Keziah and Andrew

Polly and Luna dressed for the occasion, because Steinhardt is dog friendly, weddings included.

Congratulations, Keziah and Andrew.❤️

September was a BUSY one, okay! We’re a little late with the recap, but we crammed about three months of life into one.

From COZY Issue shoots + strategy meetings to celebrating some pretty incredible people and businesses. Here were the highlights:

💕 We celebrated the launch of @marierosecreativeco
💕 Celebrated Rick Weldon’s retirement after his time as Executive Director of the @fredcochamber
💕 Joined the @thefcbia PWB luncheon featuring speakers from the Laurel chapter of Rosie the Riveter Association
💕 Gathered for the Female Founders Supper Club with @the_midlifespace

And that’s just the highlight reel. September you were a lot. But a damn good time.

Because of you, we raised $400 for Operation Paws for Homes yesterday.

That brings this year’s Pups & Poses total to $10,212 for local rescues and nonprofits. We set out to reach $10,000, and you got us past it. Thank you to everyone who showed up, rolled out a mat, and spent the morning with six very good foster pups.

Thank you to Operation Paws for Homes and their foster families for bringing the dogs, and to Steinhardt Brewing Co. for hosting us again.

If you missed this one, we’re doing it again with OPH:

PUPS & POSES · Operation Paws for Homes
Sunday, Nov. 22 · 11:00 AM · Steinhardt Brewing Company
$25 adults · $10 kids under 11 · Bring a mat
All but $5 of every fee goes straight to the rescue.

We are just $180 short of raising $10,000 for local rescues and nonprofits this year.

And we need you to make that happen❤️

PUPS & POSES is back for Operation Paws for Homes
Sunday, Oct. 4 · 11:00 AM · Steinhardt Brewing Company

Meet the six adoptable pups who’ll be on the mats with us. Every one of them is currently living with an OPH foster family and looking for a home.

Last time we held a class for OPH, 76 of you showed up and raised over $1,500.

This one will likely sell out, so register early to save your spot.

A little about Operation Paws for Homes: they’re a volunteer-run, foster-based rescue that pulls dogs from overcrowded rural shelters, mostly in the Carolinas and Virginia, where many dogs are euthanized within days of arriving. There’s no shelter building. Every dog lives with a foster until it’s matched with a home, so fosters know each dog well before adoption. OPH places dogs across Maryland, Virginia, DC, and southern Pennsylvania, and receives no government funding. Events like this one directly support their work.

The class is beginner-friendly yoga with adoptable pups, followed by time to hang out and grab a drink.
$25 adults · $10 kids under 11 · Bring a mat

All but $5 of every fee goes straight to the rescue.

This year alone, your attendance at Pups & Poses has raised $9,362 for local rescues and nonprofits. Thank you.
