VET405: Gastrointestinal/Metabolism ✅

And with that, we’ve survived our first year of vet school!!! 🙌🏼🎊 Crazy to think about how fast time flies, and even crazier to think back to our first day of school, nervous but so excited for all to come!

Despite it being only our first year, senioritis was hitting pretty hard this block LOL. From the loads of busy work to investigating the entire GIT of multiple veterinary species and writing a biochem essay, it literally felt endless. But guess what.. WE MADE ITTTT!!!

Shoutout to everyone who’s in this journey with me, don’t ever forget that we’re in it together!! And congratulations to the class of 2026 for finishing up with their DVMs, especially our girl Rachel!!! The future is so bright and we cant wait to see what her next chapter brings!! 🔥📚

When someone asks how vet schools going.. I always answer that this is literally the happiest I’ve ever been in my entire life. One of the biggest blessings, bringing dreams to fruition. 💫💛

NEXT UP: 🍉🏝️SUMMER 2026 🌞🐠

Back at my jobs full time for the first half of June, then onto a 2 week cardio rotation at the VMTH until early July. And finishing it with some traveling and relaxation until school starts in August. Until then, hope everybody enjoys this lovely summer, sending all the love always 💙

VET404: Neuro/Senses/Behavior ✅

OFFICIALLY DONE WITH NEURO!! WOOOP WOOPP!!! 🎉 Oh my this block felt like it was never ending! Plus the 2 mini sub-blocks for ophthalmology and behavior thrown in the mix - both felt like a breath of fresh air! LOL iykyk 👁️💭

This block really reminded me how much we don’t know, but also emphasized just how far we’ve come. It was definitely challenging in terms of the amount of material we needed to retain and the plethora of details that make up the nervous system. But TBH.. the brain is awesome!!!! From giving animals the ability to move around, have senses, to making each individual so unique! Now we know a lot more about it than we did before!!! 🧠🤓

Aside from staying locked in, we got to enjoy spring break and VROM (veterinary prom)! It was nice to take a step back and enjoy life outside of school!!! One more block to go before the end of Y1, let’s do this!!!!! 💐💃
