Yesterday was perfect. Thank you so much to everyone who came through. It was beautiful to see such important faces, some of which I hadn't seen for a LONG time, like 5 years. It brought a tear or two to my eye. I definitely got a little emotional, lol.

We had a SD card of the last set he played that we ran on the 404, it was like he was playing for us.

Yume was someone special. Those who knew him, knew the community-focused, caring, fighter for the people, who was all about the love of music, expression, and true hiphop energy. He was a revolutionary. I wouldn't know anyone in this photo if it wasn't for him and I meeting 9 years ago. I have been blessed. And so was anyone who got to spend time with him.

His death was a tragedy, both in how it went down and the fact that he was 36, too young. Be there for your people. Seriously. BE THERE. Please. If there's anything we can learn, it's that we can always be more present for ourselves and those in our lives. Life is a gift. Truly. Enjoy the present.

Stay positive, stay humble, and most importantly stay nerdy out there...

Humbled to have joined @hue_hef_36chambers in The Meth Lab studios last night alongside the very talented @flamesemojibeatz @peedot718 (took the pic) and the amazing engineer #daez some serious 🔥 was thrown down last night and always a pleasure to watch the masters throw down, stay nerdy out there 🤘🏻🤓🤘🏻

The Story: I was going to the beat battle for @todaysfuturesound to support the great culture. My new MPC isn’t in yet so I wasn’t expecting to participate. My brother DJ Stress of @theproducerscorner was so kind and supportive as to let me use his beautiful MPC2500 so I can get nerdy. Turned out 4 of my other TPC fam was participating. I was absolutely speechless 😶
And in the end...after several rounds going up against talented producers and artists, I walked away victorious as the winner! I couldn’t believe it! The day started with me not competing and ended with such a humbling experience of victory.
Great to finally meet and play next to @bennyonthebeat he threw down some serious 🔥 and also shout to the other finalist @jvhbless 🙏🏻👊🏻 check em out!
Also, much love to @thephronetic @beatsyume @thomaspiper @nothing_neue @sum_total and everyone else I don’t have room to tag, stay nerdy and thank you all for being wonderfully positive people
